I have this SL1 toon that I was thinking of using to do some low level NG+ (not SL 1...can't do that again). Right now I have 9 dex, but was thinking of raising it to 12 in NG+ so could use a bunch of different small weapons. I have a bunch of blue ore, and thought I might use it on a magic weapon for NG+. It's my understanding that Magic weps are less dependent on scaling than Enchanted. Any point in doing this?

Are any enemies weak to magic damage?

Generally the enemies in the demons ruins/lost izalith run are pretty weak to magic.
To be honest there's nothing that explicitly gets owned by magic, but magic is generally effective across the board except dukes archives (and DLC, but they made that just to be awkward)
Anyways- on level 1 you're better off sticking to elemental probably in terms of raw damage- even with the higher base damage, the AR will be disappointing
