Is the dragon you fought from PTdE the last dragon in existence, cause from the wiki i used, it says

The Black Dragon Kalameet is one of the last remaining everlasting dragons, and a feared one at that. He's so mighty that even Anor Londo dare not to provoke him

    So there is more, right?

Kalameet is not the last everlasting dragon.

There's one in Ash Lake still living today.

And there are several other dragons in the main game, the Undead Dragons, Seath, the Gaping Dragon.

If some of you care enough though, i will explain why i am curious about this question.See i saw this other post on this forum about the endings, and i was wondering I'm wondering if there are still dragons left, because in the dark lord ending they will survive the abyess/darkness. (because they survived the last one)

And it will be an awesome explanation to the ng+'s (minus the equipment, and the level) that this is just a cycle repeating itself.

    Just a thought, that's all

If the Dark Souls 2 trailers are right, we're far from seeing the extinction of dragons if I'm not mistaken.

I think the everlasting dragon, gaping dragon, drakes, hellkite, and if they count undead dragons are the last in Lordarn currently. Now were do the dragons in DKS2 fall I am not sure, unless it is a prequel.

Hellkite is an overgrown drake, similar to those in the Valley of the Drake.

Drakes are nothing more than related to them.

House cats are not Lions, they're related.

Drakes are the cats, Everlasting dragons are the lions.

Ahh, right. I thought "Wyvern" in this game was defined as a overgrown Drake

"This Sword, one of the rare dragon weapons, is formed by a drake's tail. Drakes are seen as undeveloped imitators of the dragons, but in they are likely their distant kin.

The sword is imbued with a mystical power, to be released when held with both hands."

I'm thinking, during the DLC period they're implying there are more. Which one is last? I dunno.

I'm a little disappointed though. I thought the thread was gonna be about this movie.

Kalameet is not everlasting, but he is a Dragon.

The Everlasting dragon at Ash Lake is the other actual dragon.

The others are weirdo deformed guys or undead.

This is not the end of dragons. Was given a link in chat to an interview with one of the developers. There ARE dragons in DkS2. And it is a sequel NOT a prequel. He said it was a continuation of DkS

I'm guessing that all the dragons you fight in the game including kalameet are descendants of the everlasting dragons not everlasting dragons themselves.
Even the stone dragon at ash lake is a descendant I even think in either the dragon greatsword or the POD covenant items descriptions state that the stone dragon is a descendant of the everlasting dragons

The Stone Dragon is in fact an Everlasting Dragon. All the other dragons are descendants of them.

Dibsville is correct. You can tell which is which by looking at them, really. Two legs, two arms and four wings means Everlasting Dragon. Two legs, two arms and two wings means Dragon. Two legs and two wings means Drake.

But Kalameet's power lives on in the calamity ring (similar to the ring of the evil eye). So in a way he still is "alive."

They're all descended, IIRC. The Stone Dragon is described as a hatchling or young (I forget which). Of course, it can be a descendant of the everlasting dragons and still be one; it just hasn't evolved (into a generally worse form).

Then again, maybe my memory is faulty.

What about people becoming dragons?  Path of the dragon carries some implication of that.  New dragons are far from outside the realm of possibility.

I think that the path of dragon not changes into actual half dragons, instead just physical appearance.

That cannot be correct considering that man was shooting fire from a catalyst.

Isn't the Everlasting dragon considered the only real dragon left that we find? Unlike the gaping dragon and some others I may have forgotten we don't kill this one. Kalameet is not the last and lived in the past before Darkroot became what it is now. The path of dragons does not make us dragons just hybrids who look like the dragons but into dragons.

As for the fire pyromancy I have one thing but it needs confirmed as I may have forgot it. Wasn't the art of fire sorcery lost when the BoC was born and that the last thing to know of was the fire demon in the demon ruins? So unless this lost art was somehow found again I have to say the new game may still be a prequel.

Pyromancy was not lost, the ability to control the Chaos was lost.

We also find Seath the Scaleless, as well as the Gaping Dragon and the two Undead Dragons.
