Sony banning

Well, it happened to me, and now I know why, they are clamping down on things folks, anyone caught using ANY MOD SOFTWARE, your console is banned, not temp,  but forever. I phoned and pleaded ignorant, to no avail, so take care everyone

This is a useless thread. I am sorry, but the use of third party program is against their guidelines.

Just follow the rules, which are outlined not only on most of their products, but also include common sense, and you will be fine.

C'mon Teh why is this useless? Its good to know that reporting modders is actually working. I feel sorry for dooshka but thems the breaks geezer. You get caught cheating and its good to know that grief reporting works - well done Sony

Correction. They are not banning US.  I am not part of the group that cheats.

It's not a useless thread at all.  It shows that on ONE of the options to play this game, someone will actually lift a finger to stop cheaters.  This, along with XBONE, is probably enough to get me to switch over to playstation 4 instead of the MS trash where they let known hackers and glitchers roam free and only ban people for offensive content.  I suspect they don't have the means to detect and ban hackers on xbox, nor do they want to invest in attaining them.

I guess this means people's time with MM is up though lol.  I guess if one REALLY wanted to cheat, they could still run BB + dupe glitches on a previous version or something then patch up, but it should prevent most of the worst stuff you see in MP from the actual hackers.

Now, if only microsoft would do it too...

Hurray! If only this happened more, we wouldn't see so many MM users.

I hope everyone that uses the modded saved data(including the guy that made it) get banned, its stealing and illegal.

They get the spells, the armor, the weapons. All there is left is actually defeating the bosses. It has to be illegal to do that.

So they get everything out of the dlc in terms of items and that's not illegal? Wtf

The spells being included would definitely count against it.  Everyone who has the patch they did right before the release or newer technically "has" the DLC.  The purchase was just an unlock key, aka a license.  That was done presumably so people who had the DLC could still interact with those who did not and there wouldn't be weird glitches due to some equipment and animations not being recognized by all parties.  They also did not lock the ability to drop and gift DLC items so none of that would likely be determined to be illegal.  All persons playing are SUPPOSED to be on the latest patch which means they have the DLC data.  The equipment is able to be obtained without purchasing the license and would not therefore be interpreted as theft most likely by a court.

However, the addition of the spells is something that would only be attainable via actually exploring the DLC and it's obvious that was the developer's intention as they cannot be shared and they cannot be found without a trip through the DLC.  

As a result, that does circumvent the purchase of the license and gives away something that not all parties technically have the right to have.
