Why is this important? Because upgrading a shield along the elemental path boosts it's resistance to that by roughly 7-10% or in lightnings case around 15%, in exchange for keeping the stability at normal +0. Now that may seem a harsh trade off until you see a Fire Effigy +10 rocking 84% fire resistance on top of that 90 physical/lightning sure it's a light shield and it will have 45 stability, but that's still freaking impressive.
Now I will say there aren't any real overpowered shields, although a Magic Giant +10 becomes somewhat of a mini Havel's with 72 magic reduction and 68 stability, but I do believe this will open up new options in shields for different situations. Want a weight 1 shield with slightly greater magic resistance than Crest, check out the Magic Warriors +10 with an amazing 84.5% magic reduction, heck Lightning +5 gives it 78%, that's pretty nifty.
Now I'm sorry for the long wall of text and many links, I'm really excited to see the once broken and mostly unusable shield pages be fixed up and getting so much love. Please give a round of applause to Blaine and Ublug for their help in this project, and many positive votes for them also :p

I forgot to mention, dashes are there to make it look nicer, that data is not missing unless it's Crystal or Divine. I do believe the Sanctus is the only one with most of this data filled out and I am unable to vouche for those paths, take it with a grain of doubt.
