I just came up with a covenant idea. Instead of invading as yourself, you invade as an enemy in the area. If you're a higher level in the covenant you can choose what you invade as, area restricted though. You can't have Burrowing-Rock Worms in say, Duke's Archives. You may even at higher rank in the covenant control and command the weaker enemies of the area. And you could even invade as the boss! Kind of like the Old Monk in Demon's Souls. It would give an interesting twist on PvP IMO.

lol jk but that seems interesting in concept- you defend the area via the area creatures themselves. You would certainly have to be very adapt at change though. Would be challenging and fun. Man, I would love playing as a Capra or Taurus....

My only real issue with this idea is that you are making the AI way better than they normally would and put many new people at near impossible situations, and use the enemies as mob squads to help the invader fight you as well. Invading as an npc enemy gives me a similar feel.

The AI does need improvement, but of course I didn't mean it as you being able to corral the entire level of enemies against the host. It would have to be balanced, and of course sometimes, it won't be fair. But that's Dark Souls for you. I really love this idea. I don't know how far it could go before it would get out of hand though. I can see some bad things coming out of a trolling player taking control of a armored pig and migrating it to a bridge or somewhere it really shouldn't ever be put.

even a armor pig can't stand up to a host and two sunbro's in direct combat, so it might balance out the sheer easy mode that is co-op. also most arenemies have a proscribed are they live in, simply make it so that the puppeteer can't leave those area's while controlling the mobs present.

I love this! Like a Player controlled twist on a gravelord (this the right covenant?) phantom. For your boar scenario tho, doesn't mean you move faster. You're limited to their movements sets and quite frankly I can stay behind a boar almost all day Now since it is player controlled, Maybe some of the spells/buffs you use before hand could transcend to this new form? Defense boost, fire defense etc

Would be fun to invade as enemies, though I feel it would be a bit unfair to invade as a boss.
If you guys played demons, you'll know that the old monk was a specific guy, he was exactly the same as your character, except he wore the head wrap and had homing soul arrows helping him.
I felt sorry for the guy I fought first time- he was so bad! I even let him heal, cus i was having too much fun but also because he sucked- I won without healing once, thanks meat cleaver

Should be a DLC for Dark souls. Can't imagine the endless fun trolling around with a barbarian throwing **** everywhere. or just endlessly rolling in circles as a bonewheel skel.
