thing is.. when I played skyrim it didn't deliver on the "feel epic" part, I enjoyed the humor I could find but no matter how I approached combat it didn't feel epic, just sort of...there, perhaps that's why I want more focus on the humor as it was what I enjoyed most out of the game.

I love Skyrim but it, and Oblivion, are more like epic sight seeing tours with some well thought out crazy stories mixed in and a rare interesting fight. Combat is in the game because, well, you gotta have some. But it's not the focus. World immersion is. Dark Souls does it too plus the combat is excellent. But Skyrim, by sheer volume and variety beats Dark Souls for exploration purposes.
