@sword. I'm built specifically to stop builds like that. http://mmdks.com/2n7r

Also I'm not saying anyone's right or wrong its a matter of opinion.
and the vast majority of XBox players are frankly assholes with a minority being actual courteous people .

Modding is not playing to win, its cheating, breaking the rules of the game by subverting its code. A win is meaningless if one cannot actually lose.

    http://www.sirlin.net/articles/playing-to-win-part-1.html

There's your explination. In short, there's nothing wrong with playing to win and you, with your personal bias, created an inflammitory thread based on a false perception/conception of what playing to win is and why its a good thing to do if thats how one has fun.

That's smart to come up with a counter build but I have a counter to your counter.

By the time you cast great magic barrier Twop will take effect. I don't even need the Dark bead. The rapier and hornet ring helps with Backstabs and that gives a significant advantage as well.

Though he will take less damage from your rapier, and can spam WoG until TWoP runs out. Plus that poise versus your is a deadly versus, so your only back up would be a parry, when he could also WoG you while you parry. Would be an intense match indeed.

The proofs there and BTW the XBox tryhards are extremely immature compared to the PS4 tryhards who at least aren't douche bags most of the Time.

Yes I'm biased but it's because in my experience DMBs tend to be sweaty.

The person who wrote that article played to win and he wasn't a cheater.

Cheater's cheat because they are cheater's not because they are playing to win. A win means nothing if you hack the game where you can't lose. Someone with a true play to win attitude would never be satisfied winning a rigged game.

Thats called observation bias. You've only seen a fraction of the dms on live, so any judgement you make of the whole is based on your experiences with a small portion.

To use a convient metaphore, it would be like judging all dogs by the 1 that bit you.

Further, cheaters are cheaters. Playing to win can lead to cheating yes, but saying that playing to win is bad because it can lead to cheating is like saying sex is bad because it can lead to addiction. Its all on the person and their level of dicipline, not on the concept itself.

The ps3 has no shortage of pricks and cheaters, so your community arguement falls flat and is not adequate to backpedal out of your origional and predjudiced stance.

If you see the xbox side like that then play at night hours. Different experience. Playing to win doesn't make a person cheat. The cheaters are the ones who are afraid of losing and do it to stop losing.

Pirate I had my reply but since phones suck the webpage crashef.
In short your right but the DMB buff is utterly OP and the majority of DMBs use it.

Argue against it if you want but there's something wrong with a Wept buff thsts exclusive to a covenant thst givrs you at Max 2.1x the damage of the regular buff.

And yes I am aware I changed my argument I'm just trying to show why I dislike DMBs (the ones who use the damn buff) im fine with those who dont but the reliance of the buff causes me to dislike those who use it.

Ive no problem with crystal magic since its available to any int user regardless of covenamt plus less damage. ... unless its a Crystal catalyst then it destroys.

DMB is the signature buff of the DMs. I would use it to for the animation and a small extra damage boost if I had a build for it.

If it does comes back it will still be on the timer. Reason I don't use is for the put I would have to put points into faith.

The gifs in my sig all come from Touhou. Specifically my favorite characters.

so... ignoring everyhting but the builds posted here... what would be a good build for a dark anorlondo endurance run (20 flasks, no bonfire use)

we know dmb will be present, their dark moons its their covanent perk, but not being able to replenish spells what build would be best to survive? this is my attempt:

could you dm's tell me how it'd do against you're builds and dm builds in general?

Youd be suprised how much that can chamge a fight if its a falchion.

Ive no problem with crystal magic since its available to any int user regardless of covenamt plus less damage. ... unless its a Crystal catalyst then it destroys.
There's a chart in the video, but its at most 30 more damage per hit. Not a big thing. Thats a pathetic justification for hating dms, especially as there are numerous easy ways to shut down magic damage, the crest shield being the easiest.

If you have a problem with buffs, fine, but thats not a dm thing, its an everybody thing.
