Never really gave it a chance. Sure i've used str weapons but never for PVP. What's an awesome setup with a strength build. Versatility is nice.

What's your favorite strength weapon and why?

    Probably Demon's Greataxe.
Strongest weapon in the game, and nothing is better than uppercutting those randoms who don't know what the f*ck they're fighting.

    That or the Mace.

I think that might be one of the only weapons i haven't used. It's not slow as ****? So i figure dump enough strength to 1 hand it and the rest into Vit and End?

None of them are really going to be that fast. The Reinforced Club might be the fastest one around.

DGM. You can dead angle it so you are much harder to parry, while BS cancelling. It'll hit pretty hard, and you can buff it.

My Favorite is the BKGA, though it's objectively not as good as the other str options.

If you want a Str build with versatility http://mmdks.com/2ma0

You can 1h any weapon excluding Smough's hammer, and you can do so with Havel's shield and maintain midroll (DKGA used for it's extreme weight anything else is either just as heavy or lighter) And if Fast rolling is something you'd want to do, removing havel's for a shield that can parry and shuffling armor around you can make it happen, though you'd likely need Wolf's to keep your poise up.

I assume you know the basics of Strength, at the very least. Deadangling, unlocking, tanking a hit so you can smash them with your weapon, the surprisingly effective roll R1s. So here are some of the more interesting Strength builds from my list of builds.

My "Merica!" build with a Large club, greatshield, midroll and crossbow
    http://mmdks.com/2k9n

My "Warlord" build with two Axes, pyromancy, midroll and a crossbow
    http://mmdks.com/2ma2

My "Stunlock" build with a Muramako, midroll and pyromancy
    http://mmdks.com/2ma4

My "Monster" build with fatroll, Demon Great Machete, Dark Magic and a greatshield
    http://mmdks.com/2kxh

My "take your best shot" build with fatroll, buffs, Havel shield and pokey weapons
    http://mmdks.com/2ma6

And my favorite one, my "Immovable object" build with Midroll, faith, pyromancy, Greataxe and a greatshield.

I honestly enjoy using the claymore the damage is fair on it and the moveset is nice also.

I would count it more as a quality weapon, as without dex the claymore is fairly unimpressive. Though I do agree, it is one of my favorites due to the versatility. Swinging it just feels great, and it has some of the best R2s in the game.

the claymore is more of a quality weapon than a strength weapon. Not that it doesn't work on a strength build, particularly if you have the 18 dex needed for the BK weapons.

It feels a little sluggish to me personally, but I still enjoy it's move set, its got it all, a nice thrust, sweeping slashes, even a big slash that steps forward (that step is so important in pvp) It's almost a shame they took away the stunlock....almost

Butchers Knife is one of the best for PvP, Man Serpent GS is undoubtable the winner though for it's nice moveset.

My favourite though is the Dragon Greatsword, you pretty much have to be OK with fat rolling though if you want to use this with high poise armour as it weighs a metric f***-ton.
But it's such a fun weapon and looks awesome.

Watching someone go flying into the air after being hit by the DGA is possibly one of the most satisfying things in Dark Souls.

So I took your high poise and high strength very seriously and came up with this build. I could have used all Giant's armor, but I wanted it to also look cool. Despite how it looks it is rather versatile. Golem Axe gives you an awesome ranged attack that just makes you feel good when you hit people with it. It will knock them down if it hits them with their shield down. Flash Sweat gives you even more resistance to pyromancy and fire based attacks and Iron Flesh makes back stabs do next to no damage. If played right this build will tear people apart as they will most likely panic when they see you march ominously towards them.

EDIT - My favorite STR weapons would probably be either Golem Axe or Great Club.
