So I decided to replace my sword with Great Combustion/Black Flame, and it turned out to be the greatest decision Iv'e ever made. With no stamina consumption on the attack, the spell power damage boosts, the ability to break turtles without a second thought, and the fact that you can't be parried, makes this build dumb powerful. thumbs up

What is this I don't even.....What? You replaced your weapon with a spell. One spell. That is......I want to say it is ineffective and will get you killed but at 45 Dex you can stun-lock with Black Flame, and with that many, with the dusk crown and Bellowing ring, as well as 56 poise......This is sadly going to be greatly effective against most anything. Most speedy builds can be put into stunlock straight away with black flame, and heavier builds unless they have an Ultra Greatsword you are going to stun-lock them first, and even then you can easily dodge their attacks and combust between their swings. This build is too evil for me to comprehend......And even if you get hit a lot, you have both poise and a pool of health. I pity anyone you meet.

The Chaos pyromancy can be really useful as well. It takes practice, but you can free-aim Chaos Fireballs and they do quite a lot of damage. You can use the lava to your advantage quite well against a melee toon.

45 DEX pyros are deadly, but I do suggest throwing in slightly more variety spellwise, it does come off as rather spammy. This video helped me a bit today, You could keep your build and throw in some extra steez

Just so you know, you can be parried, but then again, that would be luck.

I dunno, it seems like a fine idea, combust is a great spell, all of them, and they cast quickly at that DEX. I just think range and moveset are superior weapons than just (and nothing against it, I don't care about spammers) spamming dark combust over and over as an attack, and while I know its not 'pc' to heal during an honorable duel, you will run out of casts, and then there are the black knight (and/or) flash sweat guys who will be immune to you.

I know how that is, I use Moonlight Butterfly horn and sorceries, someone uses GMB, I just have to back up usually.

Nice build, but there's no diversity in moveset or anything. The combustion type spells are actually fairly easy to punish with most weps and though you won't exactly run out, I would feel more comfortable with a Heater shield and Gold Tracer as backup rather than a Sunlight Shield. If you swap silver knight gauntlets for Iron Braclet, you have room for better chest armor and thereby more defense.

Yeah, that's essentially what I had in mind. The PG chest has great magic resist but that's nerfed to hell by the Crown of Dusk anyway so I don't see a point in investing in Mres gear, better to nab some physical defense in that case.

I honestly tend to be unable to ignore the fact that I have 45 dex and end up using weapons. Some days I think I'd like a 6th spell slot, but I haven't had too many fights where I've run dry off 5. I also tend to favor black flame for it's poise break rather than GC for it's damage. Chaos whip is amazing at keeping people out of the range where they can punish the spear with roll BS, but I sometimes bring GCFB for the damage, whip tends to not hit but still controls space, GCFB can actually hit things consistently

Very efficient build, though it doesn't get any style points from me silly
I prefer a 120 build that makes use of the 45 dex with weapons like the great scythe/uchi/bss and the pyro flame in the left hand for more diversity.
Btw, with four GC casts you need to make it to NG+4, I don't know how viable this build is for some areas/bosses. Lost Izalith in particular..or Queelag

From there I would go with this :
    http://mmdks.com/2li2
Having range backup always proves me to be effective. And if your opponent panics and rush at you, a good parry/counter bs will calm him quickly. I would consider introducing great chaos fireball in too. 24 casts of both BF and GC seem far enough.
Anyway, great work, this makes me want to try such a build.

Here ya go Spammy McSpamminstein, this build optimizes your 45 DEX, could swap tracer for a short bow, or the dark hand. It adds a bit of steez to your spamming by staggering the spells like that, ANDDDD it gives the Izalith pyromancers a REASON TO HOLD THE IZALITH CATALYST!!!!! It is the optimal catalyst at 40 INT without cutting your spells in half like Manus or TCC would.

I think I might actually make this build myself, I like it a whole lot. Obviously you dont need to stick with those spells either

I used to do something like this in the forest, though I carried fire tempest for gankers and 1 copy of great fireball.

Unlocked "aiming" combustion variants isn't exactly an exercise in extreme skill, but it can definitely catch people who just try to time a roll BS on you.

Btw, with four GC casts you need to make it to NG+4, I don't know how viable this build is for some areas/bosses. Lost Izalith in particular..or Queelag

You can kill fire sage with pyros, or just skip with the shortcut. With 45 dex and any decently upgraded bow, one could just summon mildred as a distraction and then perma-stunlock quelag by shooting her in the torso, it isn't even challenging.

Pretty much the only boss that is 100% fire immune that might be semi-challenging is centipede, but he isn't super difficult in the first place and after NG 1 you can use the orange charred ring, summon solaire, and just shoot him with a 45 dex boosted bow too, even using PW. I don't see how a playthrough like this would be particularly difficult.

Shows what I know. I usually skip that if I have the humanity.

Even so, centipede isn't the most brutal boss in the world to be "stuck" hitting it with 45 scaled dex, especially when you also have the endurance to block (IE IMO this build puts too much in attunement; 24 of each spell is probably enough and then you can redistribute stats considerably better).

You could probably go nearly pure-pyro all the way through NG +6.

    vow of silence=dead

Yeah, he'd probably want at least an estoc or a winged spear or something along those lines, though I suppose with VoS up he could just block and back up.
