    If ever a case could be made for an entirely first-person Souls game, or a mod to add that feature to the current games, this would probably be it.

    There's a helluva lot more in the article. I'm too broke to pledge anything to this Kickstarter but it looks quite interesting. Definitely hoping for a resurgence in the ol' Unreal Tournament community once this comes out.

    I've been waiting for this ever since I was 6, I always imagined being able to be fully emmersed in a video game. omgomgomgomgomg! (little girl squeel) I'm actually crying tears of joy

    I think there is a problem, because things like this has always failed, because they will have to be expensive, and will usually be ineffective and so on.

    Now the best things would be if a developer made a game based solely on it, developing the code and software made exactly for it.

    Sadly, we are yet far away for an actually working virtual reality device.

    Kitteh, you have to try to think about it positively, I know it will be expensive, but if this works out, just imagine, I believe in thought made manifest, so if we all put positive energy and thought towards it, I think it will work! Spread the luvz, but you do have a point. Im just so excited x'D

    i would finally be able to justify dks as exercise... wait... how would i roll? hmm well at the very least this would work for monster hunter as theres not much vertical movement in it yet... but actually fighting a giant beasty would require sprinting oh god i'd either become super fit or stop playing... still though a lot of potential here i just wonder how they'd implement jumping etc...

    They'd probably implement certain movements that cause things in the game so you don't have to be capable of rolling in real life to do something basic in a video game.

    It wont be very expensive, or at least as much as you think. I did some research and the Omni really does not consist of alot of engineering, or motors. Its like a controller.

    If it does get released I'll be surprised how the creators will make metal resistant to jumping a lot...

    Don't think so, at least not in the Off-Topic forum. In case it is though - this is directed at le moderators - please let me know!

    Anyway, presumably for things like rolling, you'd still have to press a button on the controller, since this would only take control of forward/back/left/right movement (with the Rift taking control of the camera). Jumping too, unless they actually got the sensors to the point where they could accurately detect one's feet propelling themselves up off the device as jumping...

    Hopefully some Omni-specific games will be made as well. I could see this having far more immersive potential than the Kinect if the final product will be as well-done as I hope, and that sold a ton of units and had several games made specifically for it too.
