    berserker/bleed build

Post by tofucactaur on Fri May 31, 2013 7:30 am

I think there are probably a bundle of variations on builds with this theme/playstyle.
    armor is purely for aesthetics/weirdness....
there is not nearly as much poise as i am used to, but i was thinking about a berserker just going all out offensive and doing lots of running 2 hand R1 and then dodge and attack again, hopefully not getting poise decimated. If anyone can offer advice etc on gear that would be rad. In terms of stats, this is already a build I norm use just as a bleed build(its just a cookie dex anyway which I also roleplay as a samurai sometimes) so I am not overly interested in seeing mods to the stats. let me know your thoughts....

also, I know everybody is going to say ring swop for the red tear stone, but i norm dont bother with this on builds, i like the idea of a build set in stone to roleplay...i sort of like working within the limitations of one gear set and lvl 99...

I'd recommend anything but acid surge, from what I've heard, testing shows acid surge wont ever break anything that wasn't going to break itself anyway.

As Jans said, Acide Surge is kind of pointless. Since the removal of Spices and mana, Acid Surge is now COMPLETELY useless other than to make it hard to see. I'd say use Poison Mist if that was your goal as you get two casts from it.

hmm, in fact i had no idea wat to put in there, my toon that to constructed this build off has 2 slots, i might run it empty, the main notion i guess was intimidation, people tend to want to avoid the acid in my experience, just getting people feeling a bit shaken from something they dont see often maybe.... anything or nothing, could just put firestorm in there to troll.....other thoughts? anyone used something like this successfully? i like the idea of panicking an opponent with bleed buildups and larger damage coming through consistently, esp wen i am red tear stoned up

Poison/Toxic. Use Arrows/knives/Pies to get poison and toxic on them, then start the bleeding. At some people they might freak and try to eat a moss, that's your que to lay into them hardcore with the BSS 2hR2 R2 combo

I meant the Gold Tracer's 2hR2 combo, I don't know why I thought you were using a BSS for a second

this is not enough poise for the scythe. from my exp. it really starts working @ 36, better yet 56poise. also the nature of the lifehunt scythe makes it really bad for rushing, remember you get the bleed buildup on every rolled hit too.
http://mmdks.com/2joy i had some good results with that loadout and experimenting with weapon hands (offhand scythe is surprisingly good and offhand tracer has increased bleed buildup afaik)
