I just sat there and stared at the Bonfire for 5 minutes

Perhaps unrelated, but I loaded my game and was summoned immediately. I usually have to wait 15-20 minutes for my very first summon after launching the game.

Patch 1.09 arrived last night in US, so hopefully it will be in EU within the next 2 days.
Xbox hasnt had a patch since the DLC release, all these patches haven been aimed for PS3 because they are ps3 specific problems.
Not that Xbox doesn't have its share of problems that could be/need to be patched (hackers, save edits, etc), but sadly MS policies make it harder to patch Xbox games (Sony cut the patch fees and now certifies patches a lot faster than in the past so, as always, money seems to be issue).
