Battle axle +5 stunlock

Hi,
It is very easy to stun the first gargoyle boss with a plain battle axe +5 with the two handed R1 attack in two hits. It is a quick and safe way to defeat the 1st gargoyle.

I wonder how the claymore is performing. Does it stunlock in two hits? Since the sword is more stamina heavy it may be actually harder compared to the battle axe.

I'm pretty sure the battle axe breaks 30 poise.

Ok thanks. So what mechanic stuns them on the second hit then?
Does it only break poise on the second hit?

one handed it breaks 30 iirc, twohanded it breaks 53, its to make up for their simple moveset, actually I can remember stunlocking a guy in full thorns armor(40 poise) while dual wielding axes by alternating hits so... hmm more testing required!

as for why they stun on the second hit poise works sort of like this:

gargoyle starts with 100 poise(estimate)
twohanded battle axe swing: 100-53 =47
another twohanded swing: 47-53 = -6, poise broken thus it gets stunned

however poise recovers over time so wait to long between swings and you won't get a stun.
