    Name a tiny change that could have destroyed Dark Souls

    A game. What would have been one small detail that would have made Dark Souls so much worse if it was changed just a little bit? For example:

    If weapons and/or armor were locked depending on which starting class you chose.

    Backstab = instant kill.
    If the black crystal could kick invaders.
    No toggle escape.

    Being able to hit people while they're on the ground from a backstab/riposte
    Backstab/riposte immediately killing someone
    Invaders could hit NPC's
    Divine Blessings being farmable
    Occult Weapons doing more damage against other players
    Friendly fire

    Being able to summon anyone anywhere.
    Being able to eat grass.
    They put in a casual difficulty.
    They made bosses redundant (yes Fable, I'm looking at you.)

    I don't think this idea would have destroyed the game, but I wonder what affect it would have to the players' psyche if the first chest in the game was a mimic.

    If they didn't fix the co-op summoning efficiency in the first patch like they did. It actually almost DID ruin the game.

    Not being able to gank.There would be no PVP noobs to be in awesome kill montages.

    There'd be no challenge in invasions

    That would be awesome, it would totally set the mood for the entire game. Although its placement in Sen's is also very evil.

    No toggle escape links into backstab being an instant kill.If it were the case,more people would stun/BS fish.

    If FROM brought back the warding spell (an auto-revive miracle) from Demon's Souls. It goes without saying that I wouldn't have died as many times as I have if I had that spell, but I don't miss it either way since my skills would probably get sloppier had that been possible.

    Also: why would extra damage for occult weapons be bad? Then they would actually have a use (it doesn't need to be a lot: maybe 10% or something).

    Aren't gankers people who invade or wait for invaders with OP toons seeking to destroy a players game? If so, I would rather be invaded by a person who wants a real fight. Not one that thinks they're awesome cause they can 1 shot me. I hate invaders but it's part of the game. Kill or be killed. But, keep it fair.
    To Ostrava, warding was a spell that gave you a body shield for defense.
