Help with Seathe (SL102)

Can someone please for the love of god, help me with seathe. I can't do it . I'm a high dex thief. I can't find anyone within my exact SL range with the signs at the bonfire. Either too high or too low, nowhere in between wtf.

at 102 you're probably to high as people are usually 70-80 in the archives.

and... im out of range currently, sorry.

funny because several guys where like 115 - 120 there... and then a few were like 80.

Yeah, you can find signs for all levels of players at the bonfire. Maybe it's because people who learn the trick of the Avelyn know others will be seeking help.

I'd be there for ya, RD, but I'm stuck at work for another 1 1/2 hrs. Man, the injustice.

Are you trying to get the sword? If not I can tell you he's pretty easy to beat if you go at him from the front (surprisingly, for a dragon). Bait the breath, run in two-handed for 2 or 3 hits, run out. Repeat ad nauseum.

Oh, and if those damned clams follow you in just quit and restart and you'll materialize at the fog door and they won't follow you in again.

Yeah, I'm trying to get the sword, it's pretty much why I die so quick because of the tail attacks. For now I'm grinding it out to get to lvl 110, because my SL119 friend would like to help, but if you'd like to help that would be great. What char with what SL would you use? I'm currently at 105

Not sure. I won't be home for another hour+. Most of my characters are co-ops sitting where they are with a ton of souls, so if I don't have one around that level I might be able to make one.

Do you know the best way to get the tail?

Wait by his crystal, but don't break it. He'll slowly make his way to you, and he'll get very close. Don't move until you see him draw his breath, then start running for his tail. He'll do his crystal breath attack, break his own crystal, and paralyze himself doing so. And by then you'll already be behind him in position to attack his tail.

You should have no problem cutting it off this way... Unless you're using the Bandit's Knife! (My favorite PvE weapon, btw.) In that case, with a friend you'll have no problem.
