this thing is AMAZING. i have allways brushed it off because of the low AR but at 333 damage at 40 INT it is such a boss. it can clear the enemies and is just so sexy.

I've heard it's quite nice.
I'd like to use one actually.

the damage is not laughable and the range is honestly godly. i haven't used it in PVP yet but in PVP the damage is only slightly below SKS and has a much better range.Latitoast wrote:I've heard it's quite nice.

I use it on my mage glass cannon as a weapon to defend myself. Even with my unupgraded VIT and END (SL 50 PVP), I can stand my ground most of the time against melee builds. Even without using spells. You just need a bit of experience in PVP and you'll win fair 1v1's almost every time

I hear it works great in your off-hand, and it just looks damn pretty.

Isn't the Moonlight Greatsword better though? I'm not sure, but I think it's more damaging, and has S scaling with INT. You can get Moonlight horn a bit earlier though.

Not really the point.

I have a toon with low int that I use it on for PvP, and it deals pitiful damage.
Still get a bunch of kills with it though by just chipping people down, even through their shield. Though Havel's Shield really *** this weapon over since its dead angles are very hard to pull off.

I like the Butterfly Horn, it is pretty cool and deals great chip damage. One minor detail I like about it is that its the only Spear without a DEX requirement so a STR/INT hybrid can use it perfectly.

That's what I use it on, my str/int hybrid. I carry a stone shield too to make it so that I usually won't be out-chipped.

I'd say the range is almost identical, and the damge is great for chipping, but you cant use the Leo Ring with it, so the SKS has much more damage potential.
It is great for chipping away at low soul levels though. They actually work pretty good together on the same build, depending on what soul level you're at/stopping at.

I love it, I love that is has low requirements, I love that it deals only magic, I love that it has such long range. It looks cool and has low weight. Amazing weapon really. Perfect for mage back-up or even primary.

Via Reddit:
Notice the only instance where it outranges the SKS is the 1H R2. Otherwise it is exactly identical to the SKS in range.

I have a bit of a hard time believing the mace and Murakumo have the same attack range. Also, the Zweihander is supposed to be longer than the Greatsword.

No the greatsword has longer rance, and indeed the normal R1 for the Murakumo doesn't reach that far forwards.

These are pretty well parsed out and for clarity, the creator HealthyandHappy said the following :
"This list isn't entirely finished, but includes most of the pvp viable weapons.
And yes, this is measured by the forward reach of each attack.
That's why weapons that have forward movement with the attack rank
higher than weapons that seem as though they'd have a longer reach."

Is there a list for the reach compared to the hitbox of the player rather than the starting point of the animation? Because that'd be pretty interesting to know too.

Do you mean how far beyond your hitbox it extends regardless of movement? I don't know of one, but I would be just as interested to see it.
