    Hello my fellow undead!

I've started a fresh playthrough of Dark Souls and decided to upload it to my YouTube channel. Not played this game for a few months so I'm a little rusty.

Aiming for this to be useful for newer players, but also entertaining for experienced players. (Tough to do, but hopefully I'll pull it off.)

I've embedded the video below and any feedback you guys could give me would be great.

I'm also going for a faith build (something I've never tried before) so any advice on equipment etc. would be great, particularly an armour set that would suit a Paladin/Holy Warrior type character.

I've gone for the Astora straight sword, and aim to get my Halberd upgraded with the Devine ember ASAP.

Thank you very much for your time.

A great faith weapon to use is the Crescent Axe.
Whenever you can get it, go for that.

If you're already experienced with Dark Souls, you can just go down to the Catacombs, make your way over to Patches(he's at the switch to flip the second bridge) and murder his face then and there. But seeing as you're doing a noob friendly run I wouldn't do that. silly

    -_-
    I knew that.
I was just saying, you're likely to be very convincing at making Samurai Rabbit go against me advice. silly

Crescent Axe? Good call, looks tasty.

I'd have no qualms about killing Patches either! lol

However, like you said Sushi, advising people to go into the Tomb of The Giants before they're ready is just cruel. I hate the bloody place anyway!

Actually, do you guys recommend just killing him there and then? Or does he serve a purpose further down the line?

He serves no purpose other than to be a vendor in Firelink after seeing him in the Tomb and saying you aren't a cleric for the second time.

Considering this is a noob friendly playthrough, you'll want to show both sides of what he does with decisions, rather than making him an ally.

Afair if you kill patches in catacombs, reah won't show up in tomb of giants. Since you're planning to use a faith build you'll miss your main vendor.
