Being Naked

Is there ever a good reason?

I mean, I get summoned for the Bell Gargs tonight, the guy is blue, wearing MoM, Blk Knight Shield, and a R club.
I quickly realized we're in ng+ maybe ng++. I don't have anything past +5, and this dude dies to a hollow....wasn't even a "buffed" one.

I mean...really?!?!

So, in what world is it better to be naked rather than equip the Hollow Thieves Armor or something?
Not a chest piece or anything???

Seriously, what is the deal?

Well, I did a caveman run; clubs and plank shield only with basic pyro cast.

I did it naked and it was one of the most satisfying games I've every played.

Your fast roll is faster than normal if naked usually

Dragons in training?

I find that if you're bound to get insta-killed you tend to be a lot more careful. It's a kind of training on my part. You get good fast playing like that. Going nude for DkS2. Any takers?

Being naked does not make you roll faster, however, fast rolling does have 4 different roll speeds, not significant, but from 0%, fastest, .1-8.3%, even faster, 8.4-16.6%, faster, 16.7-25%, fast roll. Even so, the defense given from the lightest armor is huge compared to being naked, especially for poison, and bleed, where you will really be lacking in defense unless you place points into RES. If you're naked, you might as well be a dragon, there is no downside.

Well, playing video games are about doing things you can't do in real life, aren't they?

Dragon is fun, but everyones a fan of the naked person.

Don't act like you don't love it

The naked, or very near naked mom mask wearing great club, hornet ring build is a very popular Japanese front-stab fish build and a close relative of the giant mom poise-stab fish build. I don't know why this guy only had the reinforced club. Was he low level? R club could be the best weapon for his scaling stats at this point for fast roll.

Other possibilities are; he's making a cosplay, doing a challenge run, a noob, or he could just be really stupid. Never discount the last possibility. :razz:

I haven't played on PS3 for a while but man reading this brough back memories (haven't seen this much on PC thankfully).
When I first started PvPing all too often I'd see a naked person with the Demons Great Hammer and Onion Helm/Thorns Helm invade and sprint straight towards me for a hornet ring frontstab, and failing that they'd just start fishing. Horrible fights.
