I really hope the mods/admins are aware of the situation and rectify it asap.

This thread does nothing but stimulate the creative mind's eye of Dark Souls in us all.

I am highly offended by this and to be perfectly frank, am inclined to start trolling.

This really pisses me off. This is really upsetting. I want to see something done if at all possible, please. :|

    Thank you, maaal

Well dangit, I was gonna edit to tone down my language a little. Shrug

We have all said things that deserve a downrep or two at times, but this is kinda ridiculous.

There's nothing more disheartening than seeing someone trying to create a fun Dark Souls themed event/thread/or what have you, and then see an obvious personal grudge overshadow the premise of the rep system and what it stands for, and the aforementioned event/thread/etc.

I dont think rep counts for very much, but I do respect the system and appreciate it for what its worth.

***I'll get back on topic later tonight or tomorrow night with a couple other ideas.

Shouldn't the New Moon and Full Moon abilities be switched? I am pointing this out because New Moons cast no light, and Full moons cast the most light.

An idea for a weapon...Oh! I can use an idea I really wanted to use!

    Crescent Moon Scythe

A scythe that was manifested from strong Lunar magic, it gains strength when a crescent moon is present, but is weaker during other phases and when in daylight.

    Requirements

    Str: 18
    Dex: 20
    Res: 30

    Scaling

    Str: B
    Dex: S
    Res: A

    Moveset

1H Weak: A series of Horizontal Slashes.

1H Running: An overhead chop with a slight angle for range.

1H Backstep: A Backwards overhead swing that lands behind you.

    1H Roll: A 360° spin attack.

1H Strong: A charged up overhead chop that creates a spinning crescent moon that charges at the target, it has a small amount of homing.

1H Running Strong: A diagonal slash that creates a spinning crescent moon that is slower than the formal, but has better homing.

    2H Weak: Alternating Diagonal Swings.

    2H Running: A 360° spin attack.

2H Backstep: You step forward and attack diagonally, can be chained.

2H Roll: A 180° horizontal swing that leads immediately to an overhead chop.

2H Strong: A horizontal crescent moon is shot out. It is extremely fast, but has no homing, can be chained.

I hope this wasn't TOO bad.

    So...what is happening?

I need to ask, would there be spells that are stronger at certain moon phases, not just a full moon?

I always a feeling that something special happens with a blood moon but everything good I think of ends up doing what power does only instead it reduce your vit by 25% while increasing the strength of weapons by 30%. It sounds good but is way to op in some cases while interesting as well.

For certain spells that could work, but only for a few. I like to keep it simple by having the power bonuses be based on: Moonlight, sunlight, lack of both

I think that blood moons should either slowly degrade your health until you die if your using/wearing anything that has Lunar effects. Well, they might also make it so you accumulate bleed damage either twice as fast, with every weapon, or using any Lunar Magic/weapon. In return, you gain a set amount of power, maybe 15-20% to keep the power low enough, but high enough that it isn't useless.

If you want it in the simplest form for the power of Lunar powered items and such you naturally have this formula: In the Moonlight: Power increase, in the Sun: power decease, and when you lack both you have a neutral or base stat of them. Of course the question is how do you want those percentages for the Sun and Moon effects?

Yea I was wondering what to do with the bloodmoon spells and armor. All I'm going off of is that bloodmoon usually means evil and violence and special powers.

And that's exactly the kind of system I was going to use Soris. Someone mentioned that before...I'll have to dig their name up again.

A time when there is no sun nor moon...Purgatory?

I think that Solar themed items would be hilarious as sort of a rivalry.

Personally I had enough with all the sun love Satoshi. If there are moon based items they need to be able to compete with all the bias for the sun.

I know, it was a joke. Honestly, you should see me in real life, I literally use an umbrella to avoid the sun's rays.

Haha. I'd love to see someone do some more sunlight spells. All we have so far are the lightning spears, bountiful/soothing sunlight and Solair's set.

I was thinking more like indoors. XD That and the Abyss, which is actually pretty close to purgatory.

Not sure if these are in the category section, but I thought they were kinda cool ideas that could be implemented someway...

    Moonbeam Arrows/Bolts

"As piercing as the moonlight through the night, so are these penetrating projectiles."

    Damage type: thrust / magic

Damage: 33 / (scales with humanity up to 99 magic damage)

    Range: 100

Note: Each arrow pierces through each enemy allowing for multiple enemies to be hit in succession. Damage decreases 10% with each enemy hit i.e. 5th enemy hit recieves 60% total damage. Projectile has a tracer effect.

    Tracking Beam Arrows/Bolts (rare item)

"The moon is ever visible and guiding in the night sky, from darkness to light shall your enemy be brought as well."

Damage type: 0 magic base damage (scales with every 2 points of humanity for max damage of 49 magic damage
    at 99 humanity).

    Damage: 0-49 magic damage

    Range: 400

Note: When an enemy is it hit with a Tracking Beam Arrow / Bolt, they will have a bright glow, have their enemy aggro range increased by 777%, and all enemies NPCs in the area will become hostile to that target within that range. This includes AI enemies / NPCs and human players i.e. invaders / hosts / phantoms. Effect lasts for 5 minutes. Projectile has a faint tracer effect. *Does not work on boss enemies.

Just throwin em out there. If you dont like these, switch to a weapon attribute perhaps? Shrug

I dont know about you, but I would've LOVED to shoot arrows at a host and have their aggro range increased like that. Talk about the ultimate "stealth troll build". I would've totally loved that. lol

    Moonlight Mirror
Shield for adherants to the cult of Moonlight. Large mirror crafted into a handheld shield.
Offers 90% magic defence and R2 which is a parry for sorcery/dark magic sending the spells back at their casters. Does not work for pyro/miracles.
Has mediocre protection against physical, fire, lightning
    poor durability
