The new format and quoting Empty The new format and quoting

With the new format, quoting someone makes it so you can't actually post something outside of the quote, since it has no empty typing lines below the yellow quote box.  I've seen alot of kind of awkward posts with lines being put in as improvised "page breakers" and some where they just type their post entirely still within the quote box below the actual quote.  I realize format changes come with these kinds of things, and you can press the "Turn off Editor Mode" option to post outside the quote like you used to, but that kind of defeats the point of a reformatting, no?  How soon can we expect empty space to appear below quotes?

    EDIT:

There is an icon, looking like a paper sheet. It's the very last icon.
If you click it, the text editor will show you the BBC code used in the post, just we had before.
That will allow you to do anything you want and you can afterwards press the same button again, to see how will the post look with BBC code made visible.

E already explained this in one of the threads in here.

    EDIT:
Dibs already explained this as well, in much more detail.

Well, I can, but I can't write my piece outside the quote box.straight face

The changes to the text editor were a forumotion change, not something Fex and myself initiated.  For the time present it is the only editor option, so we are noting all the issues to provide feedback.

Thanks for the input though, as they say, it's the thought that counts pony03

Out of your hands then, huh?  Guess we'll just have to live with it for now then pony02

PS:  Thanks for the new MLP emotes, by the way.  They're expressive enough that I can almost use them exclusively in place of normal smilies pony13
