    I have a question for, you guessed it, the Pyromancy Flame. I am making a build that will use an Ascended Flame in each hand as melee weapons, but I need to know, I have never used melee for the glove, so how much damage does it do, and does it scale with anything?

    The Pyromancy Flame scales very well in Intelligence, yet still doesn't really do respectable damage. It gets notably higher as you ascend it, but not really good.

    Scales with INT, does crap damage.

    It has an S scaling with Intelligence but low damage. I'd say about 100 damage max per hit.

    Dependant on fire defence. Maybe around 100 for a person with 50 intelligence and Ascended Flame +5.

    Not off the top of my head, I can test for you though. But I think it does 100ish, maybe less.

    That isn't TOO bad. I guess I could tweak the build a little to limit my spells.

    No, it doesn't.

    Did anyone else notice that 1.0.8 brought the Pyro Flames scaling down from S to A? Or am I just paranoid?

    Outside of a 45 dex combustion combo (if it could kick), I cant see anything to justify it as having a practical melee function.

    I thank you all for your feedback. Pendant, I wish to see the results of your test. I have the build, but the problem is that I want to make it SL 99, not 100, and I don't know what stat to take off. The armor is for looks, not efficiency.

    Dude, get more Attunement on that Pyro build. As for the other one, it's a mid rolling GiantDad, I don't know. I still think the standard GiantDad is more effective.

    Well...it just seems really fun to do. I bet it will be ineffective, but it would be fun to try to get at least one win with it.

    The punch is also pretty slow, very short ranged, and you won't be able to backstab or parry, or kick.

    I'm guessing that one win will make you lose a few hairs.

    ...That seems unfortunate. Oh well, if I can (somehow) get lucky enough to get one win, most likely on a low-vit build. The chance is really low, but the payoff would be funny to see in my opinion.

    i didn't guess anything, the title of the thread is "Pyromancy flame"

    why not just use some fire/chaos upgraded Cestus's, that way its still the punching fire, and you can BS/parry etc. you don't even need to fully upgrade them if you want them weaker

    If you wanna punch people to death you might just join the Way of the Dragon Covenant than using the glove; you can punch quite a lot of people to death as a dragon.

    I read that thorns gauntlets increase punch damage. Not sure it's true. Something to think about if it does.

    Also the orange chard ring will add fire damage / effect to your kicks. May be a fun add on to your boxing pyro.
