The Dragon Tooth Empty The Dragon Tooth

    Post by Gods_Twilight Fri May 10, 2013 9:32 am

I know a lot of people aren't too keen on the dragon tooth because it's out damaged by other clubs and what not but I've been rocking a havel cosplay lately and the heavy attacks have some insane reach if you judge your distances properly, it's so much fun to use in my opinion!

Any one else love the dragon tooth?

I like it because it look awesome but I like the DGH better since its the best looking out of all the hammer(sorry grant). r1-r2 is perfect for people that like to set up parries, they go splat!

Yeah the Demon's Greathammer is an awesome looking weapon no doubt about it, the grant is cool but I wish they'd given it more damage, I know it has one of the highest AR's but when it's split damage it comes out to nothing, I have a leeroy build at the moment with 50 str 40 faith and it doesn't hit anywhere near hard enough to justify the investment.

I like it, but it has the usual flaw of being ridiculously easy to parry. At least, if the user is using it like a dex weapon, where you go right in front of them, and R1. I find it good when you are playing mind games, pretending to hit in another direction, and as they close in for the backstab, punish them.

But but but, the large club is right there. And honestly because of that I've never really used to dragon tooth. But the R1 or R2 seems interesting because they do look quite similar.

i've got experience with it, basically a lighter but weaker dgh with a defense bonus to fire, personally i think they should have given it a unique two handed r2, a pommel bash that combo's into a slam or something... its also the most phallic of the great hammers

Yeah the large club is my go to weapon when I'm doing a strength buff build, just go for 27 strength then invest the rest into another stat, two hand it and enjoy, and it's one handed R1s are great.

I reckon the dragon tooth was gonna have the effect havel's shield does now or that they didn't think it would be right to have two weapon's wielded by a single NPC have two special attacks, it would seem off. I agree though, a few more weapons with special attacks would have been awesome.

As an aesthetics person myself, I have to admit it's rather epic carrying around a tooth on your shoulder, I was very impressed the first time I came across it, rather than just "meh another guy with a hammer". I know we're all hard stats guys here.. but listen to my little voice
