The Items You Always Use
Hi, I am here to ask, what items do you always use on builds? For example, I always use the Crystalline Mask and the Lifehunt Scythe. For rings, I go with the Ring of Favor and Protection, but try to stay away from Havel's Ring.
Now, once again, what items do you always use?

Velka's Rapier, if on an INT build. That thing is so best.

Chaos blade, Artorias' helmet and chest plate, and Ciaran's leggings and gloves with the wolf ring and havel's ring.

Re: The Items You Always Use
Honestly, I really like the Buckler, but I find the Parrying Dagger easier to work with. Mainly due to the way it can also be used efficiently as an off-hand weapon.

Re: The Items You Always Use
I always try to get at least one piece of the Dark armour set, it just look so freaking cool and since I love fast rolling; but having a little poise, my most common ring set is Havel's +Wolf, though if the armour set is light enough I may use the RoFaP.
I also usually use curved swords, the falchion being my favourite though I am thinking on a dual-Quellag's Furysword buil, does anyone have a spare Quellag's soul by any chance? I don't really want to go NG+.

Re: The Items You Always Use
I prefer the Buckler over the Target Shield because .5 weight is very build-altering plus the Buckler looks better.
I would use the Parrying Dagger but I'm burnt out on duel-wielding at the moment. I mean, I did kinda duel-wield for a month straight...

Re: The Items You Always Use
Always... hmmmm... I have 10 builds and they are highly varied.
But, there are a few items. White Stone for co-op and invader warning. Estus and Humanity for healing. Some type of bow, mostly short. The heater shield was used at some point during play, as well the long sword. Blooming purple moss. The bottomless box as well the repair and building boxes.
That is pretty much it. The items I seem to need to play the game.

Re: The Items You Always Use
really depends on my build I'm going for, but nearly every one of my toons will at one point or another be wearing the hard leather armor. For low levels characters with low endurance, hard leather is a must.

Re: The Items You Always Use
Suppose I should actually post something related to the original topic.
Been loving my Chaos Uchigatana lately. I don't really have a go to weapon/item really, things just come and go with how I feel like playing. I did use Cursed Great-sword of Artorias for a long time though.

Re: The Items You Always Use
Claymore is a wonderful weapon early that I'll nearly always grab if I don't have a specific build in mind. If I intend to run a Dex build, I'll ALWAYS grab Iaito. It's amazing in PvE and a great fallback in PvP if you're not yet comfortable with your primary weapon against other players. Greatlord Greatsword is the one Str weapon I always come back to. Great damage without many stats, looks badass, and landing an R2 is ridiculously satisfying. And finally, my baby: The Murakumo. My single favorite weapon in PvE and PvP. If I'm going high level, I will invariably grab it for its variety and PvP potential.
As for rings in PvE, usually RoFaP+Wolf/Havel's. As long as I can get 30+ poise to resist kats and straight swords, and can fastroll, I'm happy. I always grab the Crest Shield for any magic damage boss, the Dragon Crest or Heater for any fire damage boss, and the Balder Shield for stability. With those three shields, I can deal with just about any enemy in the game with ease.

Re: The Items You Always Use
One thing in my less recent times of playing I just could not resist picking up is Black Flame. That appears in pretty much all of my builds.
In terms of items though, the Black Sorcerer, Shadow and Black Leather armour sets usually end up somewhere on me though.

Re: The Items You Always Use
At one time all of my builds had the Xanthous waistcloth, although the crimson waistcloth is pretty good too I'll use that if I'm tight on weight. All of my builds can wield a claymore, even if it's not one of my primaries. I will find any excuse I can to wear the Black Iron chest piece. If I want lower weight and don't need poise Logan's Super Swag hat will get the call more often than not. If I want some poise on my head I'll try to make the Paladin Helm work. Lately I'm making sure all my builds have the gargoyle halberd and the halberd as back-ups as well.
