Soloing Bosses. Just So Much Fun.

I like to tell stories about random things I decide to do during my time playing Dark Souls. Feel free to do the same.

So I was over at a friends playing on my character and he told me he wanted to see my progression. So he had me fight Kalimeet. With my dual-wielding dragon. It felt wrong but I decided he needed to die. No one summons for that boss I've found so I had to do it alone. So I gave up the dual blades, slapped my Gold Tracer on my right hand, and a talisman in my left. Fought that bosses 6 times out of rage. Ended up finally beating him by hitting him in the face with a Great Lightning Spear. Just so much damn fun.

Anyone got anything ridiculous? Doesn't have to be bosses, I just want everyone to brag about being awesome.

Also, flipping around with both tracers in Ornsteins armor is just amazing. Everyone needs to try it. Forever.

I've reached the point where I'll rather fight the Four Kings solo than to summon anyone to help (including Witch Beatrice). The feeling of overcoming your fear and being victorious is amazing.

I do it because their health seems to skyrocket when summoning help. I have to do it or I always lose the fight

I have the exact opposite feelings towards bosses. I always summon people, even if I clearly don't need it. I love playing with others, so it's hard not to. Yes, even the Taurus demon

Just to say, the kalameet summons is when you go down, get killed by kala then the area is active again (if you're killed arty that is), then you just summon people who put their signs down for arty

I agree soloing is great, I love doing bosses like O and S, Quelaag etc. To be honest though the four lord bosses are pretty boring for me now.

I wouldn't call this awesome I do it for kicks. Capra is my most hated boss. I read on here about a firebomb cheat so I went to youtube to see it. Knowing the cheat and how to do it I was playing around with it and decided to do this;
Equip black bombs, dagger with no buffs and at base level, (in off hand), halberd +5 in main. Do the cheat by throwing 5 bombs, (6 kills him), switch to dagger, run in and kill capra in 2 quick hits, switch to halberd and kill dogs before you die from mauling lol.
BTW that's usually around sl 10 or lower

Cutting off seaths tail on a solo, only ever done it twice on a solo, both times with a non magic build. Cutting off kala's tail in NG+ on solo felt good(i messed up on ng).

I love solo'ing the Four Kings, O&S, and Manus on NG+2. Always fun fights.

You can summon Beatrice for 4 Kings without increasing their hp, using the trick. If you enter the boss before she's summoned, their hp will not increase. Same goes for all other phantoms.

I don't even remember what the last time was that I fought Gargoyles solo. I pretty much always summon people for that, simply because I know loads of people are trying to get summoned there. And on my SL10 in NG+++ and beyond I just summon people for that because it's kinda funny Most of them don't even last past the first mob.

Also whenever I happen to be human in any other zone and see a white sign, I'll summon them, just for fun

I just watched one of my friends get Priscilla's Dagger solo. What a **** right?

Spent about 30 minutes rolling around with Kalameet trying to cut his tail off solo in NG++ earlier. Takes quite a while to bait out his tail pound, as I can't get around in time to abuse any of his other attacks. O&S eludes me still. Separating them after kiting for 5 minutes and cheesing are uninteresting to me, so I always grab Solaire and enjoy myself a wonderful Super Ornstein. Still can't fight him well, so it makes for quite a challenge.

On the the amusing stuff... I once had a friend (may his soul rest in a pit of BP Bonewheels) tell me to fight Gwyn naked with an unupgraded whip. No resin, no rings, no spells. Took me a few years to get him low, and then he comboed me into oblivion instantly.
