Giant Skull in Ash Lake Empty Giant Skull in Ash Lake

Post by SadPanda Sat May 04, 2013 10:15 pm

So, I haven't been down to Ash Lake in a while, and I noticed a HUGE skull. It isn't long enough to be a dragon/drake/wyvern skull, so I have no idea what it is. The picture doesn't exactly show the whole skull, so I'll just try to describe it:
-Same proportions as a human skull
-Two fangs to the sides of the nose, just below it
-Another set of fangs, more like teeth, under the cheekbones
-A very small snaggle tooth between the teeth
    -Very large eye sockets
    -Somewhat small nasal area
-Two small "antenna" like horns above the temples
Has anyone else noticed it? If someone could

Most likely a demon that fell from Izalith when the Archtree that supported the city broke.

Yeah, I think it was a demon too because of the characteristics...It doesn't look like a dragon head!

The image of the skull shows physical characteristics resembling that of an unknown monster possibly a demon of some kind rather then a dragon. I can say that the skull and two front large teeth are the skull with the lower jaw perhaps buried in the sand. Dragon skulls show little to resemble a human as this skull does with the biggest difference being that a dragon skull is extended and pointed forward with the eyes positioned like a reptile while this skull is more rounded and human like such as the eyes being located in front.

Well dragons do differ vastly from one another- I mean, compare Seath, Kalameet, Stone and Gaping. They are pretty different in both size, body shape and skull. Stone even has forward facing sockets and a short muzzle.

But hell, it would even be a completely different species altogether. We dunno.

It could be a sub-species of some sort of the dragon race. However if that were the case then this could be a type that is either older than, or shares the least number of similarities to the rest of the ones we have seen. Even the undead dragons share little resemblance to this one. Also this skull is extremely old and looks almost fossilized to stone though it is in good condition despite the exposure it has to oxygen and the moisture of the lake.

But Izalith is nearly on the same level as Ash Lake, and i don't think it's directly above it anyways

Pretty sure it's an Everlasting Dragon skull from when Gwyn and the others fought the dragons.

Can't be an everlasting dragon. The skull does not resemble one of them and it does not have horns on it's sides.

The skull is pretty similar to the large skulls in the ToG. I always thought it was a giant, who there was something extra, or maybe an older form or something.

    Maybe a demon dragon baby?

    It's obviously Priscilla's brother.

    Seath had an affair.
