This is the thread where i will most likely ***** about my frustration until i figure out how to progress through the game at SL1

But ideally, your tips will make that much faster

So right now, i have the large and divine embers, both given to andre, and i absolutely cant get through the skeleton wheel pit, or the catacombs, because i don't have green tits to upgrade my weapons to divine

What do i do?

iv never done a sl 1 run but could u do the crazy catacombs gymnastics and get to the leeroy spot right quick and get him to give you a hand?

Can i access Vamos from that side of the wall?

no i dont think you can. i think vamos is more deep in the catacombs. but it may be possible to get leeroy to take you there you never know

Catacombs is not exactly where i'm the most experienced, i probably won't need help in most of the later levels

I cleared the catacombs, got me a fire reinforced club, very happy, got raw reinforced club +2, more happy

the damage of the fire club is a lot inferior though

Where does one acquire green tits? I see what you did there!

Green shards can drop from the slimes in the Depths, too.

Green shards are best farmed at the leeches in Blighttown Swamp. They drop stacks of five.

Depends on whether or not one feels like trying to get past the barbarians, cragspiders, and mosquitoes at SL1 to get down to the leeches vs killing a couple torch zombies and/or a couple dogs to get to the slime hallway, I suppose.

Yes the leeches do drop far more green titanite, but yet are a bit harder to get to.

or just feed your blue chunks to frampt and avoid farming.

Can you parry infested barbarians?
And corpse wielding ghouls?

Oh boy i'm already thinking of O&S and four kings...the worst part is that i plan to keep doing the run on NG+

you can parry everything but the grab attack.
ng+ is where it really starts getting fun.

You can parry then, but backstabbing might be less risky.
Some other level 1 tips:
-Pyromancy is your best friend: upgrade it as fast as possible. Use it wth the bellowing dragonchestring en the crown of dusk for amazing damage.
-Ring of favor and protection might save your hide and gives you more possibilities for equiping armor.

I'm in sen's fortress now, Siegmeyer doesn't want to talk to me (press talk, nothing happens), he truly is absorbed in thought

It might be because i didn't speak with him until the end when he was at the gate

If he is there, then there is no problem; just talk to him in Anor again and youll be fine.

Did you get the Darkmoon Seance Ring that gives you an extra slot for pyro, when you were in the catacombs?
Also the light crossbow is a big help on a sl1 run.

I prefer to beable to use both ring slots on a sl1 instead of taking one up with rofap.

Seeing how important endurance is for attacking/defending/rolling etc even beside the ring giving you the ability to endure a bit more because of the improved vit and armor, I think it is worth the offer of one ringslot. But it all comes down to playingstyle I guess(or how much you trust your dodgeskills;)), as it indeed limits you a bit.

The lightcrossbow is great indeed. You can also use a normal bow to argo 1 enemy in a group. it would not do a lot of damage because you lack the dex, but it works quicker that the crossbow.

I prefer to stick with my crossbow, wonder if i should get extra ones and make them elemental though
