So I recently picked this game up again after a very long time, and am doing a light side run. Ive made it to Nar Shaddar to pick up my first Jedi Master for the council on Dantooine.

Right now i'm trying to...

> Piss off the exchange (I've already killed the overseer, if that matters)

> Get a dancer for the Hutt so I can steal his treasure stuff. (The guy in the Nar Shaddar docks)

> Stop Goto from hijacking freighters (He is the Exchange crime lord of Nar Shaddar)

> Defeat the guy who stole my ship (He is unbeatable with my equipment, ive tried 10 times with a different strategy each time, he literally one shots your followers with one of his moves, and he does it very frequently.)


Honestly I just want to get the jedi master and leave the bloody place, can any one help without spoiling things that shouldn't be spoiled?

I would look up a walkthrough but I didn't think of that until after I got 80% done with this post, and i'm not going to delete it.

DON'T SPOIL ANYTHING.

Don't say "Oh there's no point, so and so gets killed anyway." or "He was taken by ____ because ____"

I just want to know HOW to continue any of these quests, or what to do.

I've been searching different buildings and helping refugees for around 2 hours and i'm getting sick of it.


Spoiling anything that would bother an average star wars nerd would result in me using the Dominate Mind force move to make you jump out of a ship moving at hyperspeed, with 50 thermal detonators attached to you, waiting to explode.

O god that entire place is random events you literally have to walk to different areas and trigger conversations/fights its not fun

I actually think I might have figured it out, there seems to be a way to make the Red Eclipse guy (The Person who screws me every time I fight him) work for me, if I choose the right dialogue. I check this out later...

First of all whatever you do, save before finishing that encounter.  There is a very well known bug with it that can happen that may only be revertable with a save, or deleting the data.

Do you have any anti-melee shields?

I think I do, if not I'll look up where to buy some. But I really want to avoid fighting these guys if I can, I just want to get the hell out of there. Sadly I wasn't warned ahead of time to save before going to any of the planets, but I haven't broken the game yet according to Gamefaqs and yahoo answers, The red eclipse being in my ship is actually a sign that i'm doing things right.

There is still another possible glitch, but a save revert can fix it if it happens.  

What sort of character are you playing?  Because if you want the more peaceful option if I remember correctly you need a specific feat/power.

I'm a Jedi Sentinel atm, Full Light Side allingment and I have the Dominate Mind power, I have a decent amount of persuasion and charisma, I'll be doing a Jedi Master playthrough when I reach... uhh level 15 I think? I've forgotten so much about this game.

The peaceful solution you can do then.  An issue is you might not be designing your character enough around combat.  You will have to do one on one combat in parts of the game and have to be able to survive such circumstances.  Which number planet is Nar Shaddaa for you?  1st, 2nd, etc?  

What weapon are you using, what are your feats and powers?  What armor?  What companions are you using and for what purposes?

Right now i'm using Han Solo rip off.. forgot his name for some odd reason...

And Kreia? Something like that, she is the old lady who hates nice people.

I use Han Solo for firing support, but I might switch him out for the technician you meet on Telos, who calls you "general".

Right now I'm using a Vibroblade (The Longer one, might be the Vibrosword.) And I have some armour that does not restrict my force powers, it's light, and offers quite a bit of bonuses to my stats.

I can't tell you exactly what my feats are atm, but they match my gear so far, I adjust from time to time based on how I do in combat wearing/using different types of gear.

I use the Old Lady for her healing and party buffs, and she also has one hell of a Falco Kick.

Tolvo I'm a massive noob so bare with me, i'll give you my exact character specs if you want later, as I'm not playing the game atm. I'll actually hop on a bit as talking about it makes me more anxious to play.

you dont need to be at that planet yet not until after you get your lightsaber and get Mandalore

I can't leave unless I defeat/befriend the red enclave people or whatever they are called.

There is, IIRC, a way to skip all the baddies and get to the leader and start talking, but that is just to save my patience as I can already cheese his henchmen. He is the real threat. But It would be nice if I could skip all the idiots who guard him.

you might have to start over Nar Shaddar is an area you go too late game I found the bosses difficult at level 16 so you may have no way out

That is a last resort. I always knew this game had MANY scenarios where you could make your game unbeatable, but I always managed to find a way.

You have to run to the room he is in and engage him in conversation.

Alright, the melee shield should help you out.  You can also hit the trandoshan and hug him to get him to focus upon you while having Atton Rand(Han Solo) back up to stay out of range.  Adhesive/Cryo grenades can help in keeping him away from Atton.  your melee shield would let you tank more.  If the enemy uses an energy shield have atton use grenades till it falls.  If using a melee shield, just try to tank it while atton hits at a range.  Crowd Control abilities like insanity, or since you are light side Stasis might be a good idea in the future, whirlwind as well.  At least force push.  The issue with going sentinel is that in combat you aren't as effective.  Going full force or full physical is better than going 50/50.

well yea I hope so the beginning is dreadful well for me at least and one important thing level up the small robot its very important

It's definitely a game that requires you to learn how to build your character.
