    Honestly this is the only problem ive ever had with the game. It kinda sucks but also adds a temporary hardcore mode to a already challenging game. I tried taking on Dark Sun Gwyndolin with invisible magic on ng + now there's a challenge

    I think that wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for all the other little graphical problems that are coming along with it. It is just incredibly annoying that nothing appears and or is spotty. I really don't want brand new people trying it in it's current state. It would tarnish the good Dark Souls name.

    Apart from invisible magic, the most annoying problem I've found when trying to pvp is that I often can't see if I'm summoning a ganker or a dark spirit.

    Bump. It's not just annoying, it makes playing the game unenjoyable. Invisible Dark Magic is OP, pleeze nerf.

    atm i'm glad about the DkS break
    had time to played the Soul Sacrifice Demo -> already ordered
    started a new Demons Souls build in the asian version, looking forward for some PvP without dark magic and lagstabs

    flickering after FROM tried to patch resonance rings and PSN brought an update only few days after the DkS patch for the 2nd time now....looks like Sony regrets that they didn't ordered a Demon Souls 2 and now sabotage DkS on purpos.....

    If it's anything I noticed about forums, it's that stickied posts often aren't looked at. Seriously, this 1 other forum I'm active in, there was this poll about an important decision, so they stickied it. A lot of people complained afterwards (week later) that they never saw the thread. And I know that those same people are very active on that forum.

    Heck yeah, same here! I'll probably just be playing a mixture of Soul Sacrifice, Demons Souls and Dragons Dogma until they patch Dark Souls.

    Do any of you even use or care about the resonance rings? I personally could care less. What effect do they even have on miracles? I'd by far rather have a non-flickering game than resonance rings. silly

    I agree with the hardcore mode idea, it definitely shakes up parts of the game that might have gotten stale. Prior flickering for me was only DLC, but this is everywhere. For example, Ornstein's lightning bolts are now invisible aside from a slight glow on the floor, as is Smough's electric buttslam. The only characters I even use are those with either great magic shield or great magic barrier, because of how many invisible pursuers and invisible WOG spammers you run into. It's crazy out there.

    The glitch is getting worse. Sometimes when I go through a doorway, a white barrier appears and I can't go back through. I have to reload the game to make it disappear. This is so frustrating.

    They increase the effectiveness of Heal, WoG, and maybe a couple other miracles.

    I'm pretty sure someone is simply trying to invade you. You can't go to different areas when someone is invading you or when you summon someone. You can quit the game if they haven't loaded into your world yet, cancelling the summon/invasion.

    The flickering is happening everywhere for me. The biggest issue I have with the flickering is that I can't tell if a body is lootable or not, so I have to actually walk up to. Sure, it's immersive, but annoying. I suppose that one good aspect is that prospective gankers will have a harder time summoning their buddies. The Forest Covenant should seize the opportunity!

    Calm down people! As of 30/04/13, there is confirmation in the Namco Forum that FROM is aware and working on a fix.
    I wish they would also fix the stupid megamule that was reported to Namco ages ago...

    Sometimes i have to bless this forum with my presence tongue..
    I often read the posts, i just don´t participate because its not really my thing. I only did it this time because in a 7 page post nobody warned users that the flicker had been reported already.
    I also found on, Gamefaqs, posts of several users that contacted Namco directly and got similiar answers to the one i found on Namco Forums. So Namco/FROM are MORE than aware of this issue. So all the users need is a bit of patience and faith on FROM Software! big grin

    Do From Soft even test their crap before they push it out? Seriously! Try fighting the Moonlight Butterfly when EVERY ONE OF ITS ATTACKS IS INVISIBLE. How incompetent do you have to be to break your entire game with a single patch? It's an absolute disgrace that From Soft allowed this to happen. Yes, I am god damn mad.
