    Well, it was caused because of a PSN patch, not something FROM did...

    One silver lining is that there has been a lot more gravelord activity. I don't know if someone organized an event or something, but over the weekend my NG+ str build was gravelorded in four separate areas at different times -- I had previously been gravelorded twice total in a year and a half of playing. I think the flickering makes it a lot harder to spot the gravelord sign and defeat the gravelord, so if you really want to spread misery on top of misery now is the time.

    Also, got one of those glitches where I was summoned as a red despite using the WSS. I suicided, and when I got back to my world my bloodstain was nowhere to be found. It was invisible. I eventually located it at the spawn point for actual invaders, halfway across the map, by accidentally running over that spot 15 minutes later and noticing the reclamation msg. 50 humanity and 8 million souls was nothing to sneeze at.

    You might have noticed that the flickering only started about 1 week after the patch, not with the patch. And offline all works great, another indication that it might NOT be From Software fault...
    Just relax, it will get fixed.

    I really believe it is failure of the developer, yes. But no matter who is at fault, since it is resolved. I still remember when Demon's Souls Servers were out, I do not remember for what reason, but we stayed several days without invading. We'll get over this. bounce

    Hello fellow adventurers. I've just returned to Dark Souls after a year today and noticed this annoying flickering. At first I thought it was a problem on my side, somehow, I'm actually glad I've found this topic, haha. I have no clue if this has been mentioned before, although I think it has, anyway - the flickering completely disappears if you go offline - for those who are not playing PvP (like me) and can play a while without online cooperation...

    This flickering problem is probably at its' worst in the Queelag fight. Sometimes the lava on the ground is completely invisible.

    Demon Souls is up and running and fight clubs are being put into operation. Get back to basics, play the original and build your toon to SL125 - see you in 4-1 peeps!

    Also annoying farming Sprites in Township Dungeon, can't see the damn things 75% of the time!

    I had the wierdest bug the other night.
    I was in Undead Burg on the platform downstairs from the bonfire. I had killed th enemys and was waiting for Invaders.
    Suddenly I saw one of the dredlings bodys jumping around. I thought it was just a bug caused by the engine or something, but then I heard a slashing sound to the left, like someone was swinging a sword.
    I dodged an lashed out with my halberd, but there was no staggering animation.
    "Invisible Enemy" I thought and started hacking away. Then I got a message "XXX was vanquished".
    It was so strange. Apparently I was invaded by an invisible invader without notification.

    On their Facebook for Dark Souls, they just said the servers for Dark Souls are going to be undergoing maintenance and may be going down for periods of time.

    HA, Dark magic its completely invisible! Had a fun time fighting Seath shooting invisible crystals at me while I shot invisible dark orbs at him!

    So the downsides to that for you guys are: PvP may be dead in Dark Souls for awhile.
    And your upsides are: Demon Souls may be revived with a lot of players in certain parts and this flickering issue that PSN players have may likely be fixed.

    I say the upsides have a better impact than the downside.
