I'd go CB, mura has quite a few counters and burdens a build with its weight. I love it a lot but it's flawed against a lot of tactics.

How would you guys/gals feel about a "Dark Souls Living Riddles with Rules" type of thing?
What I could do is create brackets, randomly drawn, and use a "Rock em Sock em Robots" kinda thing initiated through "battle polls".
Except our robots would be Johnny 5. He's best robot. 8)
Might take me awhile, but I'd work on it if ya'll wanted. I'd also have to review all the builds to make sure they wouldn't be hindered by any of my " OCD rules" lol.
Or I can just leave it as is.

IMO TWoD should be allowed. To compensate, cash tourney would be played in 1.03 where TWoD was low-tier.
My builds for a cash tourney would probably be the same builds I use for everyday PvP. Except for the Zweihander one, maybe. Might still pull it out as a joke if I'm about to fight a baddie.
For the record 0% of those builds use a spear.

Lol. Its Number 5 aka Johnny 5 from the movie Short Circuit. He/it is going to be the "build operator" in our imaginary build tournament that I may or may not deck out and have "fight polls" with our builds.
I'm not sure what the rules would be outside of the typical, or if I'd have the energy and time to create the "contest". But if I did/do, Johnny 5 would/will be our mascot/bitc*.

I'm surprised nobody's done anything close to this so far. To be honest, the build isn't in my comfort zone. But, I would bet on someone using a build like that who can duel wield (parry) and is comfortable with dragon form.
Considering it's a tournament, though... I'm assuming everyone would gather in person and be on a LAN connection. I suspect that might alter play a lot. Mid roll may become more viable, even preferable. Sight parries, maybe? No lagsuers? No BS fishing? :shock: I could imagine some people complaining that DkS is unplayable without lag.

The hypothetical premise seemed to suggest a large tournament with a significant cash prize. So, I as I said I was asuming that we were talking about a MLG-style tournament played in person. Hence, the quote:

I never said or implied a souls LAN tourney had happened or would happen in the future.
It's certainly possible that fast roll will always be better than mid roll no matter what. But, I think no having lag would definitely improve the viability of mid roll. That's just something I specifically thought of within the broader context of how dark souls would be effected by removing lag (again, just in theory). Because there are a lot people who have builds, setups and playstyles that rely heavily on using lag.
