172HP or 32 Stamina?

After I started using pure melee, I haven't used a mage build. That was about 2 months ago. I decided to be a jackass and make a mage build, but I can't decide whether to go with Havel's Ring or Ring of FaP. Which one should I go with?

Are these for dueling or random invasions?...and not all mages/spellswords are jackasses btw.

I also see this is in the "pve" section, but the builds sorta reflect duelers....

I never like to just, "You should do this instead or whatever" when someone makes their builds. I always try to stick to the authors preferences.

I have a couple questions as a result...but first kudos for making brave builds with a lot of weapon diversity.

1) Whats your favorite weapon outta the bunch?

2) Are you familiar with any casting combos? If so, whats some of your favorites?

3) Are you dead set on low health? Swapping RT maybe?

4) Have you ever played low poise builds?

I have a couple suggestions, but unsure of how to make them....

K, I gotta feed the kids(the society frowns upon it if I don't), and I'm go on mugen for awhile.

I got some ideas you might like. If you dont, thats fine too...as a matter of fact you might not lol. But I'll try and give you some stuff to chew on.

In the meantime, a MLGS build kinda screams no castings. HCSM would go well with it (so would pursuers I guess), but outside of that, the MLGS is pretty awesome by itself.

The rapier crits harder, but Velka's is....I love it soooo much. Its an awesome sword/rapier.

Velka Love

-7 poise for daggers.

-You cant see SMS on a Darkhand.

-Pyro for GMBs and Crest Shields.

-BDCR boosts all offensive castings attuned in this build.

-12 Dark Beads man….

-EXCELLENT defenses for the weight.

-I believe all rapiers get a backstab and riptose damage bonus simply for being a rapier, although Velka’s is statistically lower. However, the moveset is so fun/sweet that its hard to pass up.

Now of course you can swap the head for the elf ears, the ninja flip for the Coloranthy, and all kinds of other things, but you did say invader.

Your builds have a lot going on. With that poise to hp ratio, you'll find yourself dead before having a chance to see the poise benefits imo.

If you wanted to boost your power with this build, you easily could, but Dark Bead is strong enough as is, and I'd consider a Hornet's Ring as a replacement to compliment the DWGR maybe.

You could attune Power Within and Red Tearstone if you wanted.
