Seriously. No shield makes you too manly for Girly gankers too handle. NEED PATCH. NOW.

It's really awesome, You can do it without DWGR but it gives you that extra I-Frame in case you're fighting...MAAAAAGGGIIIICCCCCCC.

You need the skill to be able to do that though, which not everyone has. Plus, it is safer to shield if there is lag. And if you want to be fast and dodge everything, you have to sacrifice poise, which will make you easy to combo lock since you have no shield. If you are heavy armor set, than all they have to do is out-range/speed you and gradually poke you do death. But, with the necessary skill, yes it can slaughter people in seconds. Quite easily and hilariously.

I think not haveing a sheild gives me confidence in some weird way , if there are gankers i laugh in their face when i parry them with my fist.. Hurrah

What took you guys so long to throw away your shields?
Been doing the no-shield rule since i started PvP. Personally, i do it not because of style but because i hate shields. They're so restricting for me and annoys the crap out of me when i have one.

Having no shields helps you to improve your dodging for the most part. You will rarely get hit unless it's lag or you get impatient and do something stupid. Overall, it's way more fun than having your shield as a clutch. No shields also increases the risk factor of getting hit but that's way more fun and fulfilling.

I found out that the DPS factor goes UP when you're Dual-wielding and not having a shield.

It's really fun. Lag can still be a *****, but DWGR saves you a lot. A LOT.

No shields means you're trying not to rely on a clutch other than your own ability to dodge. DWGR is a clutch. git gud.

I always thought the DWGR was a throttle, not a clutch.

I don't like using Clutch. I think Crutch is a better use of a word.

    So do I.

But I just couldn't resist making a joke about pointing out the misuse of the word clutch. silly

I actually get excited when I see people using a curved sword instead of a shield cause it basically means I'm going to win, very and I mean VERY few people have the parry timing down for dead angled ultra greatswords :| I can just swing and swing and swing until they either die from failed parries (cause thats what they want anyway with the no shield lol they're parry hunting) or just take the hits till they die ^_^ the only part of your build I find scary is the halberd....those things really screw over pure STR builds :| also why 0 poise? I can stun lock you with throwing daggers o-o you have a ring slot....wolf ring? or do you just like the thrill of knowing in 1 hit ull die? it seems it would be weak to a build like this http://mmdks.com/22ul but idk its just a game so w/e u find fun

Not nessecarily parry hunting. I like being able to switch up my attacks it is a nice surprise. I like to be able to parry, but I prefer to dodge and wear them down.

Parrying makes you look more badass. 8)
Especially if they're using a katana. When I parry the Iaito R2, it feels and looks damn good. silly

It's only because I don't trust myself enough to be able to successfully parry. I still to this day have never landed an online riposte.

To be honest, parrying is part lag, part skill.
Connection affects how you can parry a fair bit.
