Artorias build opinions?

I have 34 in STR and DEX, so I can use his Greatshield, and for the C scaling in both for all of the Greatswords.

The 20 INT and FAI is for the requirements on the Greatswords.

I have 1459 VIT, I feel like that's enough.

The Dark Hand is for effects, to look corrupted.

I can fast roll with all the Greatswords if I use no shield.

No attunement because Artorias used no magic, aside from the dark chargy thingy that everyone poise wrecks him on that I can't really get.

And of course, humanity for the humanity scaling.

Artorias doesn't use a shield.
You can get his charge effect via Karmic Justice followed by WoG.
It has 456 base damage, you don't need much more especially from something like a Greatsword.
37VIT brings you just over 1500HP, which you'll need for a build like this.

You can add 1 Endurance level for Dark Hand, choose your level cap as you please but 100 will be your best best.

I plan on playing with both styles.

Corrupted, and non-corrupted. The Dark Hand it so when I am trying to look corrupted, I do look corrupted. And I'm past the 99 point

I'm at 109, I just need a tiny bit more END and 9 more levels of Dex and the build in the OP will be finished.

I should probably explain my behavior with this build too.

Pendant(and a few who watch Rynn's stream) know how I use this build.

I dodge roll and look for openings in my opponents strategy since I don't use a shield.

Then once their open, I strike, if I get a stun I'll follow it up, and retreat. Any backs left expose have no mercy, and I'll even do a one-handed R2 for wake-up damage, sometimes being the killing blow because people roll to the side and get hit anyways.

meh didn't, doesn't, I meant that you insinuated that he didn't but whatever. anyway, if youre going with an sl 120 might as well make it 140 or 200 since no one really cares about sl anymore.

I like to cap at 120 though, I feel like I'm at a good level for invasions and co-oping Gwyn(who besides Artorias, is my favorite boss in the game.)

there's a bunch of people that coop in the sl 200 range which I was really surprised, but if you're good with sl 120 then go for it.

Well, if you plan to do a post-abyss Artorias build, I think that all items should be used on the right hand, even the talisman and/or dark hand. This further insinuates his dead left arm.

The Greatsword is in the right hand, the Dark Hand is for looks, as I've said before. I don't ever pull it up unless I find some guy messing around and I shield spam.

don't be tempeted by the rooolllls! ur better than this! i thought the same way... mid rolling aint that bad after you get used to it.. it makes you play real hard... in the end improving all of your playing.

i've found that any Artorias of the Abyss build is less than satisfying at anything under level 150.

the problem with any Abyss build is the slow speed of the abyss and artorias greatswords, which don't lend well to a low poise, fast rolling build where the best tactic is sticking and moving. meaning the wolf ring is a necessary piece of equipment in any Artorias build so you have a chance to trade hits then duck out again.

but maintaining a fast roll and wearing the wolf ring means you need to gouge endurance to do so. since you'll need allot of hit points to survive the ring of favor should be used instead of havel's. this also means that you need 75 endurance to fast roll with only a dark hand and the abyss sword equipped (the lightest of the three).

another problem is that you have to waste all those points in INT and FTH which you never actually see any benefit from. if you replaced the abyss sword with the obsidian sword, you will hit harder on a level 90 build than you would on an abyss build at level 150, all because of those wasted points.

you are actually better off equipping either the cleansing greatshield or the artorias greatshield and medium rolling for a level 120 artorias build. it works better as a tank build than a fast rolling abyss build. but the damage you dish out will still be less than satisfactory.
