what is divine 140 for?

Hello,

e.g. the Greatsword of Artorias has an auxiliary property "divine" of 140.
Is this an additional damage? Does this mean upgraged to +5 it has 180 + 127 + 140 = 447 dmg?
If not, what is the difference between a weapon with 140 divine to a weapon with 110 divine?

I believe it's a percentage multiplier of the damage to "unholy" enemies (skeletons for instance). So instead of it doing 100% damage to skellies, it does 140%

I could be wrong though. I've always just barreled through, killed the necromancer and used a non divine weapon

That's the divine (or light) modifier, some other weapons also have an occult (or dark) modifier. The divine modifier only works against a few enemies who are affected by it: Skeletons in the catacombs/tog, harpies in the painted world, and perhaps those two blob creatures that don't respawn in new londo. When used against either of those the weapon deals 40% more damage, while a 110 divine weapon will only deal 10% extra damage. Afaik the artorias greatsword also deals 20% more damage against darkwraiths in new londo (and perhaps also the 4 kings), but no other divine weapon are effective against them, so it's a special trait of the artorias sword.
