What's the background of your character?

Just for fun, state your characters background and such.

For my Darkmoon it was that Aemon Taragyen became a knight on a mission with Way of White Priests out to the far east. While the Way of White clerics couldn't quite fathom the strange culture (I assume the far east in DS is much like feudal japan or so such location) Aemon ended up being accepted, like many other knights, into the inner circleso of the warriors.

After many years of conflict out thataways he intended to return to Berenike, where he was born, having to pass through Lordran in the process. Here he was killed by Patches who assumed he was a Cleric due to some of his Way of White gear during which time he turned undead and found he had the DarkSign. After such a horrible death Aemon decided that his new calling was to punish those who would sin against others. As such he followed reah and her fellows into the catacombs, still loyal to the WOW, and found the DM Seance Ring. The rest is history.

That about sums him up though this post is only a small part of the massive story I come up with for all of my characters.

Born in Nibelheim, headcase, killed Aeris, tried to destroy the Earth with a Meteor, used to live in a place called Northern Crater, likes using big arsed swords and hates Cloud.

Damn you Sephiroth I never killed you in FF7! Killing Aeris like that! But I digress....

I don't want to Hi-jack this thread so I'll say you most definately did but left the key to your deafeat behind and then throw down another background that I just came up with.

Kiammon was a knight of Gwyn and one of his most trusted commanders amongst the regular knights and friend to the Knight Ciadan and Artorias during the age of fire.

When Gwyn left to kindle the first flame and went mad Kiammon tried to lead the knights out of the Kiln but they were trapped behind the massive stone doors and burnt to Cinder.

However like the wandering knights of Lordran Kiammon escaped the Kiln with his sanity due to the power of his Darksign though his memmories were lost. He then became the Burnt Knight (lol fallout reference) and haunted the lands of Astora and Lordran wandering and looking for a purpose. During that time he realise his talent as a Pyromancer, his small pyromacy flame being a shard of the first flame, and returned to Lordran drawn by his desire to find the fire.

The suddenly he finds a small uninteresting Pendant on the ground and BOOOOM! Memories flood back and he realises who he is. After travelling to Anor Londo he realise Gwyn is still alive and travels to the Kiln to end Gwyn's suffering and give himself up to the Flame to extend the Age of Fire.

Hopefully this would be pretty cool.

The character I use more than any of the others, my main pvp character, is a sorcerer named Dr. Mud Butt. He got his PhD in Mud Buttology at Lordran Med. He likes long walks on the beach, puppies, and candle lit dinners. He doesn't, however, like wiping very much. Hence that silly way he runs and the fact that he's not wearing pants under that robe.

Woke up dead, had a fun and happy adventure and became king of darkness.

I'm Leeroy, the first undead of the way of white. I have 2 of the greatest relics of the Way of White. both blessed with the power of the White Flame. I will accomplish my mission, acquire the Rite of Kindling, and kindle all the bonfires, so one day, I will receive magnificent powers.

After seeing nearly all of the lands, I traveled to Lordran, the last land for me to visit.
As I entered I lost my power to bend Dark to my will.
Pissed off, I took up pyromancy and started making people feel my anger by spamming combustion in pvp.

I turned into a dragon and killed everyone in the forest.

My main's name is "Shea Butter." He made a living by ambushing trainee soldiers with his mentally deficient Brothers. With his Tranquil Walk of Peace and Havel's armor,he had nothing to fear. He was so ignorant and intellectually challenged he called out the King,Gwyn himself. He was thrown into the Northern Asylum,on the charges of being "N00b.`` -- Sorry for turning this into a rant,but the n00b in question is really pathetic. :silent:

Statement of name with accompanying title. Origin explanation line, comma, origin conclusion line. Exposition describing transitionary events leading me to Lordran. Descriptive line explaining my character's current state, comma, closing line detailing my motivations. Explanation of planned escape from current state. Ask a question to call attention to the unreliability of my plan? Solemn statement explaining the futility of asking questions. Thesis line repeating my name and situation.

Seriously am I the only one who put a serious effort into coming up with a character bio. To be fair its what I do and being an author is my ambition but how can you guys play without coming up with a character to identify with?

my shield fighters bio

Rin grew up in balder as a scullery maids daughter in king rendals castle. She learned basic combat from watching the knights drill day in and day out and upon reaching 16 years of age was invited to join the knights of balder. the pay being good she accepted so as to support her now ailing mother. Then the plague of the undead washed over the kingdom of balder and Rins world was torn apart at sword point. She only survived the initial onslaught of the undead by hiding in a passage beneath the knights barracks. in this mildewed hell she spent weeks waiting, watching and praying for the hollowed denizens to depart. after many months the majority of the undead had wandered their way out of balder heading for lordran. at this time Rin surfaced from her subterrainean hold only to find that she had become hollowed in the darkness of the tunnels. Having heard the tales of the purpose of the undead as a child and having little sanity left to cling to she armed her self with the shield of a fallen knight of catarina, sword still figuring to promenantley in her nightmares for her to handle and began the long march to lordran. along the way she was captured by the advance scouts of all father lloyds cleric knight army on their way to "cleanse tainted balder" and was locked away in the undead asylum.

Why do you have to bring out the lame creature that is Tolvo, the writer?

Alright, so for literally every character I make in Dark Souls, I do this. I'll just say a short little one.

Basically, the character was a warrior who attempted to brave Sen's fortress. He faced the Serpents, avoided the Traps, and advanced past the Knights haunting its walls. Upon finally reaching the very top he decided to challenge the Iron Golem by himself. He found himself growing anxious and panicked during the fight and literally ran from it. Terrified of this ultimate being in his eyes he found himself to be utterly nothing. Rather than become the chosen undead himself he decided he would create the warrior. Taking up the task he managed to get into New Londo before the flooding and join up with the Dark Wraiths, returning to the fortress and attacking others going through it. He himself became a new challenge within the domain of Sen's, a Dark Wraith deciding whether or not someone was ready to face the metal terror or not. However noble his idea in origin, his hollowment eventually followed after slaying many adventurers fearing there truly was no Chosen undead, and that his quest that brought the man to this dark point was merely a farce that he had wasted his life upon. Still he strikes against the new blood, seeking the one that can finally put him to rest and provide a chosen undead.

Yes I'm a very lame Nerd, but basically this is my Lore reason for invading in Sens constantly on this character.

EDIT: Seriously I don't even want to count how many times I used the word Himself for emphasis. So bad.

I rather liked the backstory the game gave my character. 'A nameless wanderer' seemed rather apt. Much like the amount of exposition in the game, I felt that was just enough to be perfect.

Virtanen, the cleric, started off as a pilgrim of the way of white sent to search for the rite of kindling just like Reah and her friends. Through the hardships of lordran, the only one that Virtanen could count on was Solaire. Solaire helped him through all of the tough fights and they became battle brothers. Virtanen joined the Brothers of Sunlight and committed to defeat the evil of the world while looking for the sacred rite. During the decent into hell, Solaire lost his way and became corrupted. Facing no other choice, Virtanen had to slay his battle brother and upon doing this, he also had a fall from grace. The evil growing in Virtanen's soul led him to the grave lord to whom he swore allegiance. Thus, the black paladin gravelord Virtanen was born.

Virtanen even took up his former battle brother's sword to take on the living. However, the evil of Virtanen's soul corrupted the once pure blade to something evil and occult. Now, in all black armor and wielding the Occult Sunlight Straight Sword, Virtanen stalks the land in search of the living to corrupt with his curses.

In fact, one of my all time favorite character concepts is the angel sent to fight demons only to discover that in the process, he became a demon himself. Now, a fallen angel with the demons destroyed, he is refused access back into heaven due to his tainted soul. Is he truly good, or truly evil is always a matter of debate. And that's where most of my characters stories come in.
