Question about the Fog Ring

How useful is it when you're the invader, not the invaded?
Like.. seeing as you're a red phantom, does it still have the same cloaking capabilities or are you slightly more visible?

The Fog ring changes a red phantom from a bright red lightbulb into a dark red object. It doesn't blend in completely, but it could still work. You have to keep the background light of the map in mind too. Being a blue phantom with the fog ring in the forest almost makes you as invisible as a host. Same goes for being a red phantom in dark areas of lost izalith.

Since the background light of blighttown is more of a brownish color, but it's really dark with a bunch of other stuff there...blending in could work if you're clever about it.

Hmmm... That's a very good point... and armor doesn't seem to factor in the color like it does for white or gold phantoms, so I could definitely use the ninja set!
