Stuck in host world glitch/rage lag

Literally a minute ago this happened.







Any similar experiences?

Saw it happen on a Rynn stream once when she was forest hunting, it was weird.

I once died, and nothing happened. I just stood there: forever.

I don't understand. Were you in someone's world and they weren't even there themselves, is that it?

No, the host is right there next to me at the beginning. I killed them, and then I was stuck in their world with their standing, but inanimate body. My assumption was that they raged and turned off their system during their dying animation, resulting in the game to become confused. So it left it in suspended invasion. I'm assuming that if timed right you could probably get it to do this pretty consistently.

That has happened to me twice in the forest. Both times I remained frozen due to being backstabbed. I don't think the host disconnected in any way. Both times it happened to me I couldn't move but I could lock on, but I can't access the game menu. Not sure what causes it, but it seems to be triggered by backstabs.

Yes, it is some sort of backstab glitch. I've been on both sides of it, and have even seen it in bloodstain replays where the person is frozen for the entire replay. A variation can also happen with mobs where they are immune to further damage but won't die until you move a certain distance away (which can cause a problem if they have you boxed in). It usually happens to me when the bs is complete overkill -- buff + HR sort of stuff.

Same kind of thing happened to me in the Forest. I got killed by the host and his phantom but I never left their world. I just stood there with 0 health unable to do anything but observe them. And they could still see me. We all were pretty confused. I disconnected after about 10 minutes when I got bored. And I believe the killing blow was a backstab.
