Bowing and Buffs Empty Bowing and Buffs

Post by WandererReece Fri Apr 19, 2013 11:27 am

I read that you are supposed to bow then buff. This is what I always do. However, I recently read that we are supposed to buff then bow.

Which comes first, bowing or buffing?

(I don't want people to post "Never Buff".)

If i were to make a buff build, i'd buff first before bowing.
Because in the off chance that the other player is going to attack me beforehand, at least i can fend him/her off with the buff. When that happens, the gloves are off and i'll go full hollow mode on that jerk.

While i don't use buffs, i'd say it depends upon the situation. If your summoned through a red sign then i'd bow then buff, but random invasions buff then bow, or don't bow at all.

For invasions I tend to bow first, if my opponent buffs their weapon after the bow then I see it as fair game to attack them during the buff.

It really is up to you, you have to know there are risks for both. With randoms I will attack after bowing so if the bow and then buff they will get a bolt to the face while they're bowing since bowing is a sign of aggression and if you buff first then bow yiure most likely to get attacked while bowing since buffing shows you're ready to fight.

I bow, then buff. To me, buffing signifies "game on!" so that's the start of the fight right there.

If you buff then bow, I'll let you finish bowing because your buff is ticking down.
If you bow, then buff, I'm probably going to hit you during your buff because you're a *** for buffing whom likely has a sense of fun I'm not compatible with.

Buff first. Screw bowing. If it's a random invasion, that is.

I used to bow and then rush the other person while they buffed, because I always took it to mean the fight started. Now I do the bow and buff, probably 1/3rd the time the jerks just rush me with their darkmoon blade. Karma, I guess.

I always buff first because if I get someone who just randomly attacks people, I'll have the buff already on there. If I bow that means I'll have less starting health and I'll be doing less damage.

Buff, then bow. I assume that bow is what beggins the fight.

When I buff, I buff first. But seeing as I (breaking the rules) NEVER BUFF, I bow first.

If you bow then buff, I take the bow as a *ding ding* ROUND ONE! FIGHT! sign and I charge. If you buff, well, my pike 2h run attack will gladly take you for a rde.

If I even bother with a buff, then I just buff.

I almost never bow, unless for a setup duel, or for an event, I don't like bowing.

I buff first cause I have no idea if my opponent is going to follow some kind of procedure or just start swinging at me, and if the fight starts right away a buff is more useful than a bow (but not always my comp bow!)

I buff as they spawn or just after I spawn in order to avoid any shenanigans. I hardly ever bow though, most of the time I just wag my shield as to tell them I want to fight, and if I have to gesture, I wave.

Long story short; buff then gesture.
