I think the calculators are pretty decent. For Fireball and the lava left behind by chaos pyromancies, the multiplier seemed to be exactly 2. Fire Orb was exactly 2.4, which is exactly 20% more than Fireball. I also got a lot of weirder numbers though, like 3.585 for the Sunlight Spear.
