AND IT'S TOO AWESOME! Really! Like, I mean it's so good I think it's one of those games that if they made it for PS3 with better graphics, it would sell like a 1 million copies, I PREDICT, critics will praise it! It will recieve high scores, believe me on this, is really awesome. The single player chapter was fun, and challeging (the last boss took me like 4 tries before I realized the best strategy).

After you beat him, you can play some other harder special quests, ONLINE, in a 4-player coop mode. Really, I'm not gonna explain how the mechanics work, but I must say it was really enternaining how after a long fight against the 2 fire golems, after 2 of my mates died, the boss was with half health, I was with low health, and my last mate was down waiting for revival, I decided to sacrifice him, generating lots of giant spikes to appear from the sky that destroyed the golem. Yeah, I was kind of a jerk, but I did what was necessary for the victory!

On a side note, with a 3 player party the Cerberus kicked our ***.

The music is awesome too and very fitting.

I played with guys from the US and I have no lag issues (even though I'm from South America).

The system of how you get randomly drops of different spells completing missions is awesome, and the fact that you can later combine them to create powerful hybrids pushes the levels of fun to the stratosphere. Plus, I realized there was also too a "trait" system! They are like tatoos (called seals) that you equip in your magic arm, and grant you passive buffs, and you can change them before every quest. Although I'm not sure how you get more seals, I think you get them randomly just like spells.

To top it all, while the enviorment is kind of static when it comes to interaction, there are several "hidden" buffs on each map (they always have the same location), that can help you, as spells have limited uses (although there are some exceptions, that kind of spells require you to sacrifice other things, like health), when you run out of uses, you are basically screwed, so you have to be careful, now, in the map, you can find some hidden points that when interacted with restore your amount of uses, but only if you didn't destroyed your spell (in other words, only if you didn't completely depleted your spell). Besides that, there are few points where you actually get spells from, like armors, and weapons, temporary obviously (like normal spells).

Also, while I'm not sure, I think that if you sacrifice an ally, you get something from him (not stealing it, and besides the usual stats upgrade).

'Tis a shame really, I would love to play it but I'm not willing to buy a Vita to do so.

Gonna link my review and update it with what I've done since I wrote it. I agree with Chiz, AMAZING game (oh yeah, I get updates on Chiz's progress in...Portuguese?....whenever he accomplishes something).....

Here's my original review info.....kinda long:

    Spoiler:

    Since that time:

    I made my first sacrifice.:

I have not started the quests after this one (I plan to do so at lunch today) but I did start doing multiplayer. Played twice so far. Like Dark Souls the enemies get a major buff by having multiple players take it on. I've had to scour the level each time to find sites to replenish my spells.

I like how each sorcerer gets a "vote" on save vs. sacrifice at the end of the quest. The first time we started off as four. Three survived the ordeal. I was the last to vote and the first two were split. With mine added, the archfiend was saved.

The second time we began our mission as a group of three. The host....yes the HOST....died. They come back as some sort of weird spirit. Gotta see what goes on there still. The other sorcerer worked to sacrifice the fiend at the end. I wandered off to save some rats. I came back to cast my vote to save the beast but apparently there's a method to see who gets the vote in the end. Possibly since the other guy cast the sacrifice vote first, he won out. Anyway, I've now made more than one sacrifice.....

I have yet to become an spirit during a fight, it's just I'm too awesome I always die last, so we loose the mission. I've read that people that die during the fight (actually died, not on the ground bleeding [at that time you can either revive them or sacrifice them]), appear as spirit and can still help the surviving guys in some way, not sure how though.

I'm having a hard time beating the Cerberus, it's too strong, I've tried like 10 times with different parties and we always end up getting destroyed.

And Skare, I believe the bosses doesn't scale, they are always the same. That's why you can use offline allies to help you against "online" monsters, to balance that aspect.

Yeah, you're right. Tried on and offline. The co-op ones are just way tougher than the first time you meet them. So regarding spirits.....

Yeah, I've died. You can enhance a partner's attack or lower an enemy's defense by touching them on the screen. You can walk around and do those buffs. There's a meter associated with it and it drains as you hold the buff. Gotta wait for it to build at first too. If my battery hadn't just died again I would jump in a Cerberus party. Thing is crazy tough.

His weakness is Stone, but he can be frozen. As long as the team uses this same strat, he goes down pretty easily.

Using this layout: Ice Rose Thorn, Snowtree Root, Grave Clod.

When he first spawns, just launch salvo after salvo of Ice Thorns. If you run out, use Snowtree Root; This will freeze him. Instead of detonating the ice when he freezes, just surround him and use Grave Clod the entire time. It drains his HP like crazy if you have two or three folks doing it. The other three spells are up to you, I choose utility stuff -- Self Heal, Falcon Feather, Ice Shield (Shield is really nice in this fight.)

Grave clod is amazing overall. The damage is sick. I was in one group that beat him earlier. I ran out of spells several times. I think it's awesome that there's a chance you could end up as a spectator. Just kinda hanging out waiting for the chance to eke out a few more casts when the environment starts to renew itself.
