Drago-Lyn'ed (Dat Nickname)

I haven't seen a lot (almost none) of Dragons using this tactic but at least i'm gonna say it.

Have any of you tried to use Dragon Roar + Avelyn?
Get a bit of distance since the Avelyn has a tendency to shoot in a weird angle, depending on which Hand you have it in.
-But not too long so the Roar can't hit 'em.

Roar, their shield will fly away and you'll Have boosted Damge x3 with the Avelyn. You can drop people REALLY FAST if all of the Bolts hit, since i think you get Boosted damage when you hit people off-guard.

My problem with this is that even if for some unearthly reason I had an Avelynn equipped, after landing a roar I wouldn't waste it by shooting the guy.

My dragon also uses a greatsword 2-handed, it is fantastic. If you don't lock on, you can usually get your opponent to your right front quarter (~1-2 o'clock) when you use the roar, so the greatsword is almost sure to hit as it swings right to left. Hadn't included avelyn but I will check it out.
