    First of all I will start this by saying that these are things that would intrest me, but I know that a lot of people wouldn't want them.

    Ultra rare drops.

    I want drops that make pure blade stone look easy to get, I want to have to work for them and they shouldn't be able to be given away (although someone would find away round this).
    The reason I want these are because I like to grind, I don't mine having to kill the same enemy 10000 times to get it, when I get to ng 10/20 ect I would like the chance of having something to find.


    An extra boss for max sl players

    I would like an ultra hard boss that is only available when you get to max sl.
    I tend to get a bit board around sl500/600 so I would like something to aim for, an incentive if you will.
    A boss that wouldnt get a bump in hp when their are more players it would have a massive amount regardless.

    I think that grinding is SUCH an outdated game mechanic. Honestly.
    I do not have HUGE amounts of time to play. Hell, I honestly mostly play COD these days because it takes like one minute to get a game and the game goes for 10 minutes and then I can put it down.
    Dark souls is so good because the difficulty relies heavily on the players ability. You have to learn, or you die. This is a forward thinking and uncommon thing in modern games. Grinding is the exact opposite, and personally I think it is at odds with what makes the souls games so great. If they want to make something rare, make it a reward for defeating an EXTREMELY difficult/optional boss.....make it a reward for low level runs....At least reward the player for doing something slightly interesting, not for doing boring repetitive mind numbing....nothing....really....anyone can sit and kill the same enemy all day....

    i like the idea of epic bosses that you take on with multiple friends....something more similar to an mmo boss....

    Again these are things I would like, that suit how I play neither of which will be in dks2.
    The one thing I don't like about dks is that you can get nearly everything in one playthrough, at least in des a boss soul had more than one use.

    reading the title of the post I was expecting a Gwynevere reference somewhere. . .

    2 things i'd like to see:
    1 - Sea related environments / galleons / caves / enemies / bosses / swag
    2 - Bosses doing something other than roaring at the camera menacingly when they enter the scene... . .yaaaawn

    Your logic makes no sense.

    You can get to sl 711 in one playthrough if you grind hard enough and you could also acquire 99 pieces of your "ultra rare" item as well. Adding these artificial game extenders also does nothing to address your own complaint about everything being available in one playthrough.

    Grinding is a horrible, unimaginative and extremely tedious game mechanic.

    Right first let me say the title of the thread is things I would like to see, not things that should/must be in dks2.
    I also started by saying a lot of people wouldn't want them.

    Now you may find grinding a horrible, unimaginative and extremely tedious game mechanic. But that's not to say that I can't enjoy it hence the title I would like to see.
    Yes I could get to sl 711 in one playthrough but the point I was making about it was I would like an incentive for getting there.
    Yes I could get 99 of a rare item in one playthrough but that wasn't the point that I was making, I said that in des the boss souls could be used 4 things, souls, miracles, weapons and magic.
    This I what I would like brought back, if you had a boss soul that was used for both dark bleed and wog you would have to pick one and go thorough another playthrough to get the other.

    The symbol of avarice was a very rare drop when dark souls released, and to some degree the sack, fang boar helm, and skull lantern, they also dropped from non respawning enemies. But after an outcry from some players they changed the drop rates in a patch so you had a guaranteed drop instead.

    I absolutely hate ultra rare drops. Sure, having drops that are somewhat rare is fine, but having to grind the same content over and over just to get an item that may or may not drop is horrible design. I hate this in every game. It is based on Skinner box design and is nothing more than a copout from developing more content. Instead of making a sufficient amount of content, and using randomization to alter the possible stats of the weapons that I may find, it just means making me waste tons of time just to get to the basic content .

    Such a design just punishes people for having less time than others.
