From what I've been able to find that is just an assumption at best. Since every other news source I've found has said there hasn't been an actual release date set for the game.

Actually gametrailers has the release date as 28/10/13

I'd say it probably it isn't true. As it stands now, a 2013 release seems all but assured with October being the month everyone is looking at.

Yeah, more I think about it, it seems to sound more and more insane to release the game early 2014 because, you know, next gen consoles etc.

Also note that, according to one of the most recent interviews, Dark Souls took a long time because they were updating a crappy third party engine. Dark Souls II will use an in-house engine which speeds up dev time exponentially.

If the release is in 2014, I'm confident it will be very, very early.

I wouldn't know what to do with myself if it was in 2014.

Haha, it's sad but I don't care. I'll have much more free time by the time it's released anyway, and now I won't have to play catch up to compete with you in DkS 2.

Namco released a fact sheet for DS2 yesterday, release date marked as TBA, so we still don't know when it will come out. That said, i'm pretty sure it will either release on this fall, probably in October, or early 2014. Farther than that is unprobable because of the coming of next-gen systems

Especially since it's been a year and a half and we're still finding new things. Now that it'll be a completely newexperience.... I ccan't help but getting all giddy and bubbly at the thought of it.

Be patient, most of us are just finishing up DKS, some people are still Lordrunning like it came out yesterday.

I am a little disappointed I won't get to play it, it does look awesome so far.

the holding date is Dec. 31st so a good assumption is usually take the hold date and add 3-4 months so id say its arriving march 2014

The release date will be Halloween to coincide with my birthday
