Signing out in the forest
So Iv noticed in the forest when I invade people, they are standing by the door out and waving then they sign out and I get put back to my world. This is becoming more popular since its happened like all last week and so far this week too

Eventually one of these guys is going to get their save file corrupted... karma will get them.

Signing out wont corrupt data. It saves where u are and puts u at the main screen.

You can't do that when you're invaded. The 'quit game' option is grayed out once another player is there. To sign out after being invaded you have to hit the PS button and quit the game from there.

It returns you to the XMB, not sure if that's what you mean by 'main screen' or not. When you start the game back up again it warns you that you didn't quit the game properly and doing so may corrupt your save data.

True if they are pulling their plug, which is entirely possible. I was just assuming that they were quitting from the XMB screen which quits the game entirely and can definitely corrupt the game save.
Barzohd, have you ever quit the game from the XMB screen? You can do it during an invasion and you get a message saying you didn't quit properly. No need to get hasty, it's one of two options to do what you described.

One of three ways actually, I'm guessing you could also sign out of PSN from the XMB as well, but I haven't tried.

Spot on w/ that assessment. I've only quit to the XMB a few times, never done anything else. Probably why I didn't think these guys were pulling their internet out. For me that would be a HUGE pain since my PS3 sits in my entertainment center.

U don't have to pull any plugs. Just press the Sony button on your ps3 remote, sign out, done.

Bro if you quit the game with out going to the dark souls start menu, example: holding the ps button, and selecting quit game which takes you to the playsation main menu. That has a small chance of corrupting your game file.
Disconnecting from the internet, does not.

No corruption from losing tinternet connection, otherwise everyone would be complaining every psn maintenance day.

Re: Signing out in the forest
Iv been trying to tell this guy but he's way to confused or something. And u do t HOLD the psn button! U simply just press it and go to account management, hit triangle, press x on sign out, and then it says taking u back to main menu. That's where the dark souls press start screen is. Jesus it doesn't take rocket science guys lol

A 3 step process is not hard to figure out how to do. I'm simply explaining how these people are Doug it without risking data corruption. U blame your Internet connection but I know better
