    equip burden items

Post by Zeta Prime on Thu Apr 11, 2013 11:26 pm

The other day i thought to myself "What if they removed all equip burden items in dark souls II"
well iv been thinking about it and i would love to see it happen. If they keep the poise system and don't add anything that upgrades your equip burdon I believe pvp will become more diverse. You couldn't stack poise anymore without atleast mid or fat rolling and i think that would add alot to the game. People who wantd to play the fast rolling game would have a downside, they wouldn't reach the best poise breakpoints or have much defense rating making it mmore of a risk reward playstyle.

Just wanted to hear some of your thoughs

What about players who mix and match?

Maybe they would be the hybrids. Maybe some would pump end to be able to fast roll with enough poise to tank some hits, but their build would suffer for it. i just would rather have it so the other rolls are seen more. iv been playing some mid olling buildss and they reall arent that bad.

That could be interesting then, but I'm not sure if I like it because it might end up buffing dex builds. And they sure don't need any more help.

Not a bad idea. But me personally, I love to go through my armor picking and choosing until I find the most efficient armor set while still being able to fast roll (without using rings or masks) But thats just me.

One of the joys of DS is getting the right build, swapping in and out, I usually mid roll, but it's all the same, all about the build! Joy incarnate!

Exactly! No other game has been this much fun when it comes to coming up with different ways of creating your character.

I don't mind the mid roll, as long as it's not the fatty.

Poise needs to be dependent on weight. Not weight class, not individual armour pieces, but weight. Someone weighing 10 units would have 20 poise, while someone weighing 40 units would have 80. Might be better if it was less than 80 for some balancing. Just my opinion though.

i would love to see med/fat roller with only good poise and /fast/med roller with lower poise would make pvp alot different because now all people do is roll r1 and i find it funny when some fast rollers get hit they roll 5 more times lol!
