His lowest defense is about 290, has a chaos great scythe+5 aand med rolls in pretty decent gear. Am I spoiling the game for them?
Also, When I invade on it, i usually drop a slab or something before offing them.

It depends. I'd say the Chaos GS makes things very easy for the newcomers, but my experience in phantoming for the Parish is that most players aren't newcomers and simply want the area out of the way, possibly needing help because they're on a weaker starter character.

I have been wondering the same thing for a while. When I was on my SL 15 helper character/Wraith I would pretty much run straight through everything with them barely being able to get a hit. Now Im on a SL 1 helper/wraith and doing the same thing. I have no idea if im ruining the game or not. I mean in WoW when I played people were always wanting to be ran through, but I dont know about it in DS.

I got help in the Parish from a sunbro with a moonlight spear.

He killed both gargoyles in less than 10 seconds.

    lol.

I'd done this boss several times before and it was nice.

Though, sadly, this was on my character that was to be my Faith build and I haven't really discovered how the heck I'm supposed to kill that stupid Capra Demon with a lower-armored character. Bleh. I guess I'm just better at playing Strength builds.

Go grab the stone armor, fire resin, and grab a good stability shield and the fight is a cake walk. You will move like a turtle but it wont matter. Just go in and go to the left and up the stairs so you can get the dogs out of the way. Then all you do is drop attack him. That is the way I do it on every build and it seems to work well. Most recently I did this with the SL1 I mentioned before.

I have a lot of upgraded stuff for my low level characters, and I do a lot of co-op. At first I just did everything and I still like it, but now I can pretty much tell if they are new at the game or not.
F.e.: some people STILL don't know you can heal phantoms with estus. I'd say about 20% of the people I'm helping along the way. Really annoying.
Anyways, if they seem new at the game, I let them do a lot of things themselves. How are they going to learn what the enemies will do if I kill them before they can react? How will this person be able to clear the area again after he/she has defeated the boss and can't summon help anymore?
All I do then is talk to them and give them some tips.

I honestly think that's a HORRIBLE idea. Go in, Wait for capra to do his jumping attack, dodge, kill the dogs, then take him on. I dont like using the cheesing ways no more. Heck, now I even kill the bridge dragon on my charas.

Didnt say it was the only way, just an easy way i do it. I also kill the bridge drake, but i do it the easy way. The easy way for him is to use the steps by solair as a position guide and force him to walk towards you and away. He will keep doing this without flying away or using fire. While he does that just shoot him with a bow. Its using buggy ai. Yes its cheap. But saying something is a horrible idea just because its cheap is stupid. Rather say that it is cheap. Cheap moves if they work are not horrible. Horrible ideas are the ones that do not work. Just because you dont personally like it dont say its bad.

I believe e game developers made this game, so each enemie/ area can be beat in various ways. Cheesing would be like Easy Mode, melee would be the harder route. This is why there is no need for easy / hard modes, they are ingeniously incorporated, already. Nothing wrong with using the game AI against itself, but hopefully they make it harder to do so. ( like shooting the cyclops through the door, SURPRISE, he crashes the door down , tears you a new one.
