    It looked great, It did kind of just feel like the magic from Demon's/Dark Souls wasn't there though. I don't quite know what it was about it, but the enemies and areas just didn't look like they had as much love put into them. It just kind of came off as someone trying to make a game exactly like Demon's/Dark Souls, but not really having the same magic. I'm still really excited, but it just seems really obvious to me that it is a different director now.

    They will for sure keep in customization, everyone looking exactly the same online would not be very appealing. The best guess as to why is because the game /is/ still in development. personally I'd like them not to show a ton of armor, I like surprises.

    Eh, well, I think there were only demonstrating purposes for outfitting that character in that way. I think his armor was pretty thick and we will start with many times less hp, stamina and equip.

    The testers were likely using a very high level character when they did this, better to get control for the 12 min demo. The enemies would likely be harder when we all start off again and that character was moving fast while carrying heavy items.

    Then again that Cyclops only gave some 200 souls, by that indication it hardly seems a top-tier enemy. 200 soul enemies are supposed to be relatively easily dispatched.

    I agree that that exploding soul absorbing thing looked a tad silly.

    I'm pretty sure you just answered your concern; for the demo, they had a ridiculously high level character. It looked like going back to the Burg after you leveled to 120.

    The HUD looked almost exactly the same to me, in terms of configuration. The colors were a bit more vibrant, though.

    As for the character, I still don't think there's enough evidence either way, and I didn't see it addressed in the Q&As yet.

    Well theyd did use the Elite knight as the main set in Dark souls trailers. altought more sets were shown like Black Iron in the Debut trailer. I just hope they keep customization, tho I'll surely miss a blank character that we can give a story to

    Hmmm, I wonder if they'll change the deprived class....
    I know they made that class to make your own character, but you could easily make any kind of character in Dark Souls with any standard class

    Yea some of the animations certainly need some work, I doubt they will look exactly like that when it is released. At least I hope not. I don't think the game will be harder, but it looks like it will be about the same possibly a little easier. You can't judge it by damage in the demo, just look at the original Dark Souls gameplay demo. It is in upper burg and the character is in full Black Knight armor with Black Knight weapons.

    Probably because they don't know good animation. A friend of mine works on big budget Hollywood animation productions, and though he loved DkS, he told me repeatedly (and pointed out) how its animations are almost last-gen level.

    I'd argue that Deprived was one of the least customizable classes in the game. That 11-11-11 statistical distribution across the board is just so limiting.

    It looked amazing. I was a bit sceptical until the player got an axe to his head and died instantly. I'm hooked, when can I buy it already?

    I imagine that demo character has some leveling aspects that won't be available to the player. That's my explanation, at least.

    You can't do much with balanced stats for customization from what I seen. You will always have a useless point somewhere when you balance things.

    Also remember that this has been in development for a while and it is April. They still have 6-7 months to fix things.

    They've changed the engine, that's why the animations seem weird, but they can improve for sure, i'm not worried with it.

    Sadly have to say the preview didn't hype me up. I'm not trying to be a downer here, I'm not trying to be negative. I just don't see it as well...it looks, worse. I'm not sure how. The world looks good, the creatures the player, all look good. But, the stuff looks for fed, and missing character. I don't know, I'm still more than likely preordering this...hoping for that mythical collectors edition and it to actually come with something decent this time. Come on chess set! Or at least for them not to tell us it comes with something, then change it a month before hand. Still bitter about that one.

    not sure if i'mI'm glad for bonfires or not yet...time will tell. Healing looks interesting and very odd. I'm fairly sure the character we all watched was a special demi maxed character or at the very least not so limited. Carrying all those weapons and fully armored and hpHP/stamina bar the same, may very well have just been a baseline screen and not actually how the HUD will look end product.

    I honestly want more details than previews. I want to know about the weight system, the spell system, upgrade system, and most of all the summoning/invading system.

    I'm not sure if you are considering the animation to be the graphics or not. By animations we mean how the character moves and reacts to things ext. It looked about on par with Dark Souls, but a few things looked like they weren't quite finished.

    As for the graphical style, it looks great. I still think the detail of the world and enemy design doesn't quite seem to have as much love put into them as Demon's/Dark Souls. Still looking good though, and certainly has better textures. That's not everything though.

    Overall, most of what I was worried about doesn't seem to be an issue. Can't wait to play it.
