Need advice, pvp / arena build in progress :)

Haven't played dark soul for a while... last time I asked for help, one of you provided me with the following advice for a arena buff /faith build. Is it still vaild?

My.....my soulmate! I love the armor combo (I've only been supporting Dingywaistcloth forever)

For straight buffing INT is slightly better I think.

I think Faith is more useful because you can bring heal to the arena or WoG to anywhere. Or even heck replenishment. Also even though Darkmoon gives more Raw AR I tend to notive SLB does a little better as people tend to have worse lightning defences than magic

I'd suggest putting a healing spell in there. So, for your first build, swap out a WoG for a Great Heal. It'll come in very handy.

BTW any ideas for other dex weapons which could replace katana? I know that a lot of people are using these...


Also, I would be thankful if you can explain me what AR stands for :p I've read a topic bout buffs and tbh I don't get all the abbreviations which are commonly used...

AR is attack rating. Basicly, if your opponent has litterally no defense, then that's how much damage it will do.

Since every enemy has defense the weapon or buff will do less damage then the attack rating. However, if you get a damage bonus from something then it's possible to do more damage then the AR.

Dex buff builds can also make use of
The Estoc (pokes and high criticals)
Great Scythe (one of the favorite dex weapons of many players)
Falchion (swings fast decent reach great for buffing)
Bandit Knife (Bleed + Buff + that 2h swingspeed, ultra high dps also somewhat risky)
Balder Side Sword (best straight sword, R2s poke almost as long as a spear, quick slashes on the r1s 2H r1 spam can sometimes stunlock and does great buffed damage)

And if you're willing to just 2H you could use the Halberd to good effect (near 500 physical AR + the buff and it's good good 2hr1)

Billy is right, its the Darksword, dude.

Dude those R2 pokes are monstrous MONSTROUS. They're illegal in like 13 states.

I was thinking bout balder sword or falcion myself, yet have to try both in pvp. Used to run 100% strenght build, so there are plenty of things I have to test as far as dex weapons are concerned.

I stand by my list, give each one a shot and I'm sure you'll find something that you like enough to keep using.
