New Int Build Empty New Int Build

Post by Brigade Sun Apr 07, 2013 1:15 pm

Just received inspiration for a new Int build. Anything major that needs changing?

I assume you'll be 2-handing that Obsidian GS? Also, the equip burden numbers are, I'd say, less than ideal. You have 9 points of weight to play around with to fully explore mid roll's versatility, but, honestly, I'd strive for fast roll.

Fastroll isn't too different at 25% weight than it is at 10%. The different midroll speeds are much more different, I like the keep a bit of extra weight. 50% midrolling is almost as bad as fatroll, which is probably where the anti midroll mentality started.

I like midroll quite a lot. It's balanced, and goes a long distance.

I'd vote for fast roll too, for mages. Why not use some dark magic? It'll throw off their timing and allow for some good combos.

For example, HCSM/Pursuers + either CSR or Dark Bead (and maybe a GC for a third). It'll make it harder for them to know which way to roll. DB is best rolled forward, but they can get a GC to the face. If they guess wrong (and you cast CSR, it may hit them. If they roll to the side, DB has a higher chance of hitting them.

I'm keeping the spell list vanilla. I'm not sure if this will be on PC or PS3.

Your choice of armor. May as well go for better poise if you're going to have that wolf ring out and all that extra equip load available.

Also, how is this a "new int build?" It looks nearly identical to my initial int build, except for the fact that I used uchi+cmw, not MLGS.
