You gotta talk to him again behind the ramp. If you mean he's stuck outside the gates, first thing is have you opened them?

Stuck in sens, I done everything, turned boulder machine, he just sleeps, won't talk.

I have this problem with Onionbro as well, almost all the time.
What i do is if he still doesn't move to Anal Rodeo, i'll turn the boulder trap and talk to him again. Then i'll reload the game. Most of the time, he'll still be there but once i head to Anal Rodeo, Onionbro will be waiting outside the silver knight room.
I always hate doing his questline because of this.

i had a problem with the onion bro yesterday, he simply would not talk to me, just kept sitting on that ledge like a lump. the "talk" prompt was there but pressing the button did absolutely nothing. reloading didn't help either.
i think he was mad at me because i sucked out all of his humanity before i opened the gate.

Yeah some people get mad when you use an ancient dark ritual to stole all his humanity on them. What a jerk for being mad.
Whatever, op you may need to change the boulder orientation, i think last time in Rynn's LS she couldnt also get siegmeyer to anor londo because of that.

I've skipped him in Sen's and believe he shows up in AL.

I think if you speak to him before entering Sen's, you don't have to speak with him inside.
